I uninstalled Nvidia 275.33 re-installed Nvidia 270.51 thinking that would solve the problem. It didn't. I'm almost ready for the final quest in Act II so I'd really appreciate any suggestions that would enable me to get whatever goodies that dwarf was carrying.
I don't remember this happening with the first character I played, but that was b4 the new Nvidia driver.


Any suggestions?

I have recently completed that quest post 1.03 and at first i thought it was another bug but eventually i managed to hi-light his body. I paused the game and moved the mouse cursor very slowly around his body and eventually the loot sign appeared. I don't think it was directly on his body, more around the area of where he was laying, and yes this wasn't a problem pre patch 1.03. Try again it's there you just got find it.

You can always improve the interactivity quotient by reducing the pixel count load. Go with a lower screen resolution when the expected blue activation is missing. This shouldn't happen with any fairly recently produced gaming quality graphics cards, but is much more likely with low end video devices.

The wierd thing is that I finished the fool's gold quest days ago. I
thought I'd return to a disappeared corpse and the loot would be there.
