I've been following pretty closely since E3 started and reading Casey Hudson's Twitter but haven't seen confirmation on any permanent squadmates returning from ME2 besides Garrus and Tali. Gonna be a real bummer if I can't continue my Jack/Grunt/Miranda rotation.
Anything from E3 about returning ME2 squaddies?

No info on permanent squad members, but we do know that everyone is returning in ME3.
About the three you listed, we know Jack has been given a redesign and is now more mature and even has some hair, but we have heard nothing at all about Miranda or Grunt, save for that fact that they will appear.

Nothing so far to suggest that any of the characters introduced in ME2 will return as permanent squadmates, but they have said that all of them including Zaeed and Kasumi will be in the game at some point or another assuming they didn't die. Many people are speculating Jack may be a permanent squaddie because of her redesign, but at this point that's all it is..... speculation.

Yeah, I read that everyone will be back in one form or another. I just think it's strange to build up a strong loyal team to defeat the greatest threat of all time, and then a game later say "well herp a derp Shepard, we all had to go do other important things."
As if anything could be more important than saving all sentient life in the galaxy from death machines that are billions of years old. I'm holding out hope for good news on ME2 squadmates seeing as how we have a good long while before the game hits. Although I gotta admit, if somehow Miranda and jacob were indoctrinated and reaper-ized I might not mind as long as it added to the narrative.

Even though its good to have ME1 squaddies like Liara and Garrus back, I was wondering about the ME2 squadmates too as at the moment they feel just little like Collector cannon fodder. But then again whist it was nice to see Mordin again in some of the E3 vids, I wasn't expecting the devs to tell us everything when the game is stil something like 9-10 months away from being released (a little info wouldn't have hurt though...)
