If Bioware truly cared about its fans then they'd go back and patch ME1 and 2 to add something that lets us choose everything that happened

Patch something like a checklist and let us choose what happen including sidequests, main quests, events that happened, etc..  That way I don't have to play both games for the one millionth time and also I forgot what choices i've chosen for both games since I have hundreds of completed games so that would help a lot.  Also for the PS3 users it would help them a lot too since they can't play ME1.  Even if they played ME1 on the 360 or PC they can't transfer files to ME2/ME3.

I think I'd rather they devote all efforts to making ME3 the best gaming experience possible. Besides, replaying through 1 and 2 fills the gap nicely until March 6th (along with skyrim and bioshock infinite)

Seriously? I'm not sure if you're serious, but if you are...wow.

I think your post title is exaggerating the issue. PC users can resort to a save editor if necessary, and if someone really is this nitpicky about having a "perfect" import, then they'd probably be prepared to do a playthrough to get it, no?

You do know you can just get one of the save editors and do it that way?

If you're referring to updating the Genesis comic, so that it includes more than just the six choices, that would make some sense.
Afterall, it didn't even include any of the Feros choices.

But, don't you already have your choices saved from playing the first 2 games?

Edit: I overlooked your comment on forgetting what was chosen in your previous saves.

uh... no...

totally not...

there's already a third-person freeware allowing you to do that somewhere... PC only of course.

BioWare don't gives a **** about what you missed in-game, just replay the damn thing. And stop whining because you played Mass Effect on PS3, you douchebags, you are not even a part of why this licence is awesome, Since this game is released on your console, all you do on the forums is whining and crying like babies. buy you a goddamn Xbox or a PC and STFU.

Sorry, but as I read the title of this thread, all can really see in your post is that. I think you might want to rephrase the title. Let me quote myself from another thread:

I-am-Biwinning wrote...

Mass Effect 3 is going to be a huge game, and I am impressed that they are
really pulling out all the stops and tightening up all those little
annoyances that have nagged at fans thus far. Removable helmets,
latters, jumping, Garrus, Tali, Liara, VS, and better skill trees. They
really are throwing the long time fans every bone that they can, and I
wish some would be more appreciative of that.

Your post raises an interesting concern, but I can't stand when people knock on bioware like that. They have nine months of development left, so let's try to give them some slack.

There is a Gibbed save editor for both xbox 360 and PC.

Use google.

There is DLC on the 360 that allows one to make the key decisions in ME1 as they go into ME2. There should be something like that for ME2 going into ME3, maybe. But like they said at E3, ME3 is the start of the galactic war and a great entry point for the series.

At this point it is implied that this war is not going to be finished in ME3. This is not a trilogy.

Is the problem not being able to find out what happened in a given save when playing, not knowing which save to import, or not having the right save?

I pretty much got that taken care of with a completionist savegame in ME2.
Also, I believe that there will be a save-editor for ME3, not by BioWare of course, but maybe Gibbed will come up with something.
