My god.  Could you try that again, but make it sound a bit more smug and condescending?  There may be someone left in here who doesn't think you're a total ass.

The logical extension of what you're asking is that no features or projects get announced until they're released.  And then I guarantee you will be sat here on the sidelines criticising that the company doesn't engage with the fans enough.

No, what I'm asking is that BioWare actually follow through with what they say they will. If they say Pulse will have weekly videos for six months, it should be expected that weekly videos will happen for six months. If they don't, BioWare should say "Sorry, no video this week because of X, Y or Z".

Since BSN opened, we've had the absolute shambles of a community event, a pathetic attempt to make up for it for those of us not in the US and false hopes. It took a BioWare member responding to a poster on the site to mention that we wouldn't be getting an "Uber Edition" of ME3 despite Chris starting a topic about what we'd like in it. Now, wouldn't you have thought that confirming one would happen would have been a better move?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. BioWare need to work on their PR and how they deal with people.

Do an insider, to show how's the workflow, insight how you, the devs, work. Not only promotional stuff, the marketing and so on (I would have non of it). I for one would like to see "behind the scene" of the industry...
Not so much corporate face but people that work there.

I know it has to be scripted to some point, and you cant leak anything you dont want to, but you can try and make it "a visit in a friend's house" ;)

Ugh.  Your sense of entitlement is palpable and disgusting.  They throw a competition in the US that would be illegal to extend to our countries.  What did you want them to do?  Commit a crime in order to recompense you for your "false hopes"?

You've proven my point.  Here you are criticising them for involving the fan base during the planning stages.  They have obviously run the numbers at this point and decided the uber edition can't happen, and now you're whining because an idea Chris floated to us got scrubbed.

What behaviour are you encouraging?  That's right - not involving us any more during the planning stages.  Because if a plan should - shock horror - change during its execution, some idiot somewhere will complain about "false promises" and "false hopes".

Me-ow!  Looks like BioWare isn't the only one with poopy social skills!

I think BioWare's done fine.  Pulse could be very neat.  I do think it needs to have some regular candy in it though... or why should a regular fan watch it?  Even if it's nothing more than art in the background or hints at what's coming next.

I would, like the vocal majority during that event, have liked BioWare to have at least something for the non-US fans. It was labelled as an "Epic Community Event", yet what did it achieve? The site became a mess whilst that event occured, and the promise of something for non-US fans "in the coming months" never happened. How can you have a community event, let alone one for a Canadian company, that just involves one part of the community? A Twitter/Facebook event did occur later in the year, I'll concede, but again it wasn't ideal. Why limit the number of fans you appeal to with a "celebration" by using Facebook (Which some of us refuse to have) and Twitter? This site exists - Use it.

Again, I'm not complaining that the Uber edition didn't happen. My gripe is with the fact that the news was not broken in any form of announcement, which should be the only way to do that. It was mentioned in one of the Pulse videos, and a post from a BioWare staff member also confirmed it. There was no "Despite the hopes that this edition would surface..." post. I also find the idea that it "can't" happen to be complete BS as Crysis 2 and Dead Space 2 both got supreme-esque editions earlier this year, and BioWare are not far behind (If at all) in terms of sales.

I'd prefer it if interesting information isn't stuck in boring videos.

I like that Bioware is engaging with the community with these videos - more than a lot of other AAA developers anyway.

However, for the love of all that is holy please lose the 'keep your finger on the pulse' line. It was funny the first time but if I hear it any more I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep again without it echoing in my head.

There was also Command & Conquer 3 Primetime with David Silverman before he moved from EA LA to Bioware.

i like the idea, just, given BWs track record with promotion/PR i just don't see them having enough material for a weekly show. i liked the behind the scenes stuff from E3, but that used to be the preserve of external sites, i just don't see anything fresh in the concept as much as i did enjoy it. to be worth it, pulse has got to have stuff that nobody else does, and first (something the BSN never has - fans break news days before any official response - see the Epic Edition cancellation for proof).

What do I think? I think it's great you guys are interacting with the community.

I think it's crap how the show feels like an infomercial on late night television. The show should be less about special effects and awesome PR lines; and more about delivering news and answering questions.

I would go for monthly. Weekly is too often. You should space them out so each episode has meat worth watching.

I like BioWare Pulse. I would have thought they'd name it something else though, since PSN has a show called Pulse as well.

I think it's pretty good, but a few suggestions that I think are worth repeating:

1) A definitive schedule. I don't care if it's once week, month, every two weeks, have a definitive schedule for it. Don't just do it around major shows like E3 or a couple weeks before a game ships.

2) Retrospectives on past games every once in a while: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Baulder's Gate, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age: Origins

3)  Interviews not only with the producers and devs but interviews the writers, voice actors, artists, and other people who make the games.

4) Also talk about and have updates about the Mass Effect and Dragon Age novels, comics, toys, and the Dragon Age web series and anime.

5) Longer running time. I think 10-15 minutes is nice time.

6) If you have major spoilers for an upcoming game tell people right off the bat in box to click on to stat the show and a spoiler alert show be used before they are talked about on the show. So people who don't want to know any spoilers won't get mad.

7) Tours of the various Bioware studios.

8) Contests. But not only for fan art but fan writing as well.

9) A Making of DLC show.

10) Keep hyperbole and overt marketing to minimum, I know this show is help sell Bioware games but don't overdue it.

 11) I would like to see Bioware reps reply to e-mail, twitter, facebook, even message board questions. And I would love too see Bioware answer construtive criticism on their games (like Dragon Age II).

12) Updates not only games, DLC, and merchandise but updates on game patches too.

This could be a good thing Bioware. Please just don't let that Awesome-Button guy near a camera ever again. That should be priority number one.

It's fantastic...However, I've always had a problem with the way the Squad mates had moved in the game. They look bad...I mean they looked so stiff in ME2 when in combat. WHen they walked from one point to another...make there body more fluid in movement. I saw it in ME3 and i saw little improvement. Garrus looked REALLY bad when I saw the way he walked. Liara on the other hand looked a little better with the movement. PLEASE....if it hasn't already been considered, PLEASE fix the way they walk!!

Thank you, thank you Bioware! You made me a very happy Norwegian gamer, since i don't have money for doing a trip to a mess so far away.  With the Bioware Pulse TV i could keep myself updated with the ME 3 at E3.

You could just follow news sites for that. They'll be more inclined to giving proper opinions rather than the marketing talk any developer/publisher will come out with.

Best thing to do with E3 news is wait until E3 is over, because then you won't be fighting to keep up with it.

Many of the ideas I would suggest have already been stated by others. And then some. Effectively in the couple of pages I scanned there are more ideas than I could come up with; and some great ones in there.

There are however a few things (that have also been said before) that I would like to emphasize:
It feels too flashy how it's presented right now. The infomercial feel of it is cringe-worthy. What I would suggest in that regard is to use less polish and more personality. Drop the image, show us what BioWare really is about rather than making a neat package that is supposed to uplift the content, but effectively only distracts or annoys.
In other words: change the presentation from trying to be like G4, into a presentation that fits the personalities working at BioWare (other than the marketing manager, that is).

Another thing that has been mentioned before that I'd like to underline is the length of the vids. 10-15 minutes would be perfect. And fill it with content, not flashy fluff.
Gameplay, interviews with devs and artists and writers. Less Hudson/Laidlaw, more Norman/Hanlon. Show us Lance Henriksen, Jennifer Hale, Mark Meer in the studio, recording.

In other words: make it an information bulletin, rather than a badly produced infomercial with sound and volume issues.

2 cents and counting.

Idea of the show: great.

Execution: Not so much

I also agree with Jazharah. I would love to see interviews with Mark Meer, Jennifer Hale, Ali Hillis, etc.
