Insanity was easy in ME2. The worst mission was Miranda's. Stupid flanking enemies thinking their smart and what not. If you are struggling then you aren't taking the right people with you. I found Jacob and Miranda to be perfect for pretty much the whole game, especially since Jacob had squad inferno ammo and biotics. I also was an adept which made things very very easy.

Enemies flank in Miri's loyalty mission?  I've had the experience that they actually do the opposite: except for maybe that one Vanguard off to the right in the fight with Enyala - which I always kill first - your enemies will easily fall into line in a frontal attack.  Just kill that Vanguard quickly, and move left to fight Enyala.  All of the troops in the central aisle - which could be pushing through to outflank you - back up and go behind Enyala, stacking up in front of the elevator.  The "we don't flank" thing is even starker when you notice how a lot of fights are between two groups - you and the Eclipse - on opposite sides of a conveyor line or drop, with avenues around on at least one side - and the enemy never leaves a few guys to distract you while sending the bulk of the troops around to the side.

Weirdly, you know the one place I remember the AI doing that?  The very first fight on Freedom's Progress, where you have to deal with 2x LOKI and 2x FENRIS coming down those stairs, while 2x LOKI shoot you from the side.  Maddening.

Insanity is indeed crazy hard, but dam it I can't tell ya how much fun it was for me to go through it with my soldier. I remember someone once said that if you can beat insanity then your Shepard is the greatest in the galaxy.

I like challenge but not when it sucks out the fun of the game and only leaves frustration.
Insanity in ME2 was just torture, waves and waves of enemies all which can instantly Destroy your shields before you can blink, i also didn´t like the shields no matter how much armor parts you put that boost shields you just couldn´t stay out of cover for more than 3 seconds

Epic facepalm.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum, and that's saying something.

If Insanity is too hard for you, turn the difficulty down. That's what I do. I'm trying hard not to troll here but I can't help it: how ****ing stupid are you? This is the whole reason for having a difficulty setting! So you can find the right one for you.

You do know that i DID complete Insanity? it was for the Achievement idiot, which is the reason people do Insanity in first place!
i always complete my games before moving on to another one now that i did with ME2 now i´m happily doing my fun Harcore runs trying to complete all classes for ME3
Yes i know you can turn the difficulty at ANY time during the game but that means restarting the game/relaoding last save to get the achievement..

So you're complaining that the achievements are too hard? That's even dumber! Look up "achievement" in a dictionary. Or get a life. Either way works.

Insanity needs to be more insane, I thought it was too easy in ME2. I thought I was playing casual until I looked at the menu and giggled for a few seconds before resuming my game.

nahhh insanity wasnt that hard in me2, yeah it was a bit frustrating because of the poor mobility we had. thats all. now with the new game mechanics were ShepLoo can slide from a cover to cover without exposing that much, do rolls and stuff like that, the gameplay should be much better

Oh i forgot about the roll mechanic added and the fact that shepard can run MUCH faster now
In ME2 you ran about as fast as you ran in ME1 out of battle iand it was limited too .On insanity i had to use cloak all the time to relocate my cover position so i didn´t get shredded i can see how hard it would be with any other class.

It isn't hard at all.
Cover system makes any difficulty lolable.

Nothing was more disappointing than leading tough enemies (Mechs) round and round objects slowly killing them.

Pft. ME2's Insanity - fairly well balanced, actually involving an element of choice about fighting, and definitely not a grind or impossible - was a vast improvement from ME1. I'm glad it's remaining the same in most of its essentials.

It was just torture for me i was even stuck for 2 months on tehe Krogan waves on Grunt´s recruitment mission it was HORRIBLE.

I found it too easy.

@Commander Shep4rd.. It's you.  You need to think more tacticly and faster.  Learn and adapt.

Insanity isn't supposed to be fun, it's supposed to be hard. I think Mass Effect 2's Insanity wasn't hard enough. Sure, enemies could rip you to shreds if you weren't careful, but for the most part, getting behind a good piece of cover would be all that was necessary, because enemies rarely actively try to flank.

The more you use your companions the easier insanity gets in my opinion. Takes a few playthroughs to understand who to bring for their powers but once you do enemies drop like it was on normal. I have to take the opposite stance here and hope bioware increases the difficulty of insanity.

Sorry OP but just no. Maybe you had problems with your NG+ insanity run but that doesn't mean everyone did. I personally found that insanity became a lot easier on both my NG+ and normal runs for my vanguard and infiltrator as soon as 1) progressed far enough to get decent upgrades and 2) I had become accustomed enough to the new class(this really only applied to my first run through)

Anyway, as others have said if its too difficult, turn down the difficult setting. If you're playing to get insanity achieves; well then just realize you having and playing the game doesn't mean you're entitled to those achievements. If you can't get them, you can't get them. If you're REALLY concerned about it, have a more competent friend come over to play the game for you.

Combat was just attack, shields down/down to half red health, cover for 5 seconds repeat.

If that's how you approched insanity in ME2, no wonder you were frustrated. I thought the difficlulty level for insanity was just right. It forced you to use tactics and required some fast-twitch skills. If anything, it should be a bit harder in ME3.

I personally didn´t find that really fun and it gets more annoying when your squadmates die so enemies just try to rush at you you will get well surrounded and die (Cloak ftw lol) that lead to hair-pulling moments considering most battles would take you from 5 minutes to well over an hour!

Now the ME2 system is back and almost intact the enemy AI is improved which means more frustration and harder battles
I´m not really super causal But i´m also not a pro-pro-MLG when i want challenge i mean hard but fun at the same time please Bioware don´t make Inanity too frustrating atleast make Shield/health upgardes actually MATTER!, Your thoughts?

You obviously suck at ME2 if you are posting this. Insanity is too easy in ME2.

Insanity was fairly easy as long as you don't rush and think about what enemies you will be facing and take the right squadmates. I only struggled twice on my NG+ playthough before my HDD on my 360 broke just before I finished it, then breezed through it on a new game.

ME2 Insanity is actually fun, I only play on insanity and have so since I first popped the disk in.

One of the rare games that the hardest mode is fun, unlike DA2 where nightmare is just frustrating, and only do it once type of thing. Some missions in SC2 on Brutal were very fun as well.

Here's to hoping ME3 Insanity will be carry the same amount of fun.

It's called Insanity for a reason maybe? You know in that it's not suppose to be exactly fun, but more of a challenge/frustrating thing for most people.

So...people play insanity to ****** themselves off? Well thats not fun at all!

I want Insanity to be harder but not because enemies do more damage and have more health but because they use their powers better and tactics better and more frequently.

Then lower the damn difficulty. There are plenty of people, myself included, that would have preferred if insanity in ME2 was harder.
