I've beaten Both ME's and ME2 offers a bunch of ideas that if you look closely and bear with the game for several playthroughs with different endings, you can see:
The Illusive Man: I read the GameInformer magezine. "Why is the Illusive Man using Cerverus to hunt down Shepard." (something like that) Well, look at his eyes for one thing. Notice the "Robot Eyes" thing? I did. On my first contact. Then, (SUBTBLE, ME2 SPOILER) You've got how its Renegade to hand over base to TIM. He IS hunting Shepard, and during this apocolypse x 1K situation, please execuse the use of caps lock, HE WANTS TO ****ING KILL SHEPARD?!?!?!. Thank you. Hes obveiously in league with the Reapers. Also, (ME2 SPOILER) when you eff up badly enough to die, but save the base, did i catch TIM SMILING?! as (correct me if i'm wrong) 4 or 5 Collector cruisers came in on the hologram?! Yes, Illusive Man is in league with the Reapers.
Collectors: I might sound a little hypocritic (relation to the Cruisers part.) You'll notice that the CG has a mettalic, cold voice, like an evil robot. Sound familiar? Should. Cause we have evil Organic/Mechanic ships called Reapers trying to harvest the galaxy for god knows how long. Also, at the end of ME2, you'll notice Shepard in the Paragon line (Correct me if i'm wrong) say that "Harbinger is coming." Yes folks, not "Harbinger WAS coming." Harbinger is a Reaper. Quite possibly, the Reaper's best stratigist, and thus the possible leader. You'll also notice the Collector General's eyes glow. However, at the end of ME2, as Harbinger says "Releasing Controll" his eyes stop glowing. Yes people, the collectors were POSSESED, not having robot minds, or even indoctrinated for that matter. Who the **** said the Collectors cant be people on the inside? That said, who said the Collectors aren't going to share their technology and equipment with the Galactic races (the races we interact with 24/7 in those games.) As we saw in ME2 (spoilers... again.) the Collector beams ripped right through Shepard's Ship. I say that Collector weaponry + Galactic Tactics/Armor/Shields will beat the Reapers.
Secondary Returns/Entrances: Liara with SB Army (Lair of the Shadow Broker, ME2 DLC)
The Prothean Cipher? (Feros, ME1)
Rogue Reaper(s)? (A simple idea, brought forth from story experiances)
Thank you for bearing with me. Post any comments you like here, but PLEASE keep to the topic and the ideas i stated above. Again, thank you.
PS: I'm just a kid with a Console people. No hacks, no explorations, no ME3 Spoilers involved. Simple observation and scientific mind use.

Being new is not an excuse to be rude, just saying.

There are heaps of threads on this topic in the ME2 section of the forum.

Nope the subsequent playthroughs were driven by a desire to find out what the other classes and romances were like not to mention the added DLC. yes I've probably wasted a lot of my time but I reckon few can say that they can now play insanity practically blindfolded don't quote me on that :)

Yours sincerely

That's an understatement. I think it might be his/her first post on teh internet.

The Reaper IFF is merely a Friend/Foe identification system. The Normandy having the IFF allowed the Collectors to not notice them as an enemy until they were in eye-sight, meaning they came up as an ally according to radars. With the Collectors destroyed, Cerberus did not need an IFF because there was no threat. The IFF isn't needed to enter, having it just makes infiltration easier.

Are you sure? the Normandy has stealth systems. The base area is also surrounded by Black Holes at the edge... this is just a safezone. An oaisis in a desert. EDI said normal amounts of drift would be fatal in the core, so unless Joker is literaly just that awesome, they would have gotten sucked into a black hole while in transit.

A) Joker is literally just that awesome.  ^_^

B) Stealth doesn't matter when you're in FTL.  You "light up like a Christmas tree".

A) Really? I know he says he is.. but...

B) Thats not FTL thats Mass Relay (not sure what work they suse for it) FTL is like an Emergency transit thing, like the end of the Collector Ship (Ship, not base) mission.

Softis, you must be new to this forum if you believe you're the only one who noticed a few of those points. You're also wrong on a couple of them (one being the collector cruisers are Cerberus, not Collectors). Many people on these forums have realized things in the story and about the game, a few have even come up with some impressively ellaborate ideas and theories (the Dark Citadel comes to mind); so don't insult our intelligence by acting like you're the only one. Especially on your first thread post haha.

Besides, don't take it personally when we laugh. It is actually pretty funny when you see your first post is one sentance apologizing for the long post and then see your long post is further down after 8 or 9 others XD

About the first sentance... I've only read forums before, rarely at that, and i'm new to participating in them.
About the second sentance... Where did the illusive man get more Reaper IFFs if hes not with the Reapers

Where are you getting that they got more reaper IFFs?  IFF stands for "Identify Friend/Foe".  All it's for is so that the Normandy can travel through the Omega 4 relay without getting torn to bits right away.  Since no ship had ever returned or been heard of again, plus they discovered that the main collector base was on the other side, they put two and two together and realized they need the IFF to pass through without being shot down the second they came out the other end.  But, after the SM, no base, no reason to worry, so they could collect it for research no problem.

Welcome to the forum, though, Softis.  Sorry about the rough entry, but you didn't have an IFF and came in slightly hostile.  Take it as a learning experiance, buddy.  ;)

The Omega 4 Relay was imperative to protect... The Reapers would have put some sort of protection mechanism to protect the Collector Base... Just Saying, the Reapers are too careful to just leave a Relay leading to their minion's base

It wasn't so much that they were protecting it, even.  In fact, idiots coming through the relay probably helped them "collect", so to speak.  Nobody went through it simply because nobody returned.  And the collectors, themselves, also never expected someone to get through without them noticing before.

Maybe if the new one would stop calling everyone who disagees with him idiots and stops claiming to be using a "scientific mind". It's borderline arrogant.

Anyway here is a VERY valuable resource for any newtimer: http://masseffect.wi...ass_Effect_Wiki
