Are you people blind? Heres a good idea of what's possibly going to happen. (No Spoilers from ME3 used, just my senses)

Alright, let me go through this list:

Makes post claiming everyone is dumb and blind.

Post is full of errors that take only slight research to realize

Gets pissed at people for calling him out

Gets annoyed at people actually trying to explain things to him and continues to say their wrong and blind

When that fails, says we're boring him.

Scumbag Steve wants his rep back.

You'll never get a second chance to make a first impression, OP.

Just a friendly advice

B) Stealth doesn't matter when you're in FTL.  You "light up like a Christmas tree".

This basically. When you enter a Mass Relay, the Relay launches you into FTL speed and using the Normandy's stealth systems will cause the inhabitants to cook because FTL puts off so much heat and the stealth systems close the heat sinks so they can't be noticed by sensors. The Normandy would essentially become a microwave. This was explained in ME1 by the engineer standing near Tali.

You cannot use the stealth systems while traveling so they risk the chance of being caught by radar, this is where the IFF comes into play. It was the only way they could easily slip through risk-free, I think they entered stealth when they went through the wreckage though. Been a while since I played.

Is your goal to bore me off the argument? nice work.

Softis, one thing you should realize is YOU are the one who asked the question. Ninja wasn't arguing, s/he was merely answering your questions like I am. Is your goal to be labelled as a troll and make enemies so you'll never be taken seriously? If so, then that one comment is all most people need to pretty much blackball you.

Honestly i think BSN is the second eviliest site on the whole wide web, first place is 4chan,
and i think it is our duty to let our newbie learn that fact. (or else the web will think we have gone soft)

Look, I don't know how many forums you have been on(I get the feeling this is the first), but you can't just come on and post like this. Saying things like, "Are you people blind?" and swearing. Perhaps you were sincere, but this had every mark of a troll thread. This is a very excitable and reactionary forum. Far to many people have spammed and trolled here, and they have grown very accustomed to immediate use of anti-trolling techniques. Sometimes those techniques to cause troll failure, can be unintentionally applied. We apologize for the rough welcome, if you were sincere in this post.

Very sincere. Again, sorry, i'm new to Forums

Perhaps then, you may want to take my earlier advice. You see, there are these people who derive a strange pleasure from invading a forum and posting ridiculous things to make everyone fly into a rage. We call them trolls. The forum defense mechenism to counter this, is to simply laugh at or dismiss the troll before MODLOCKDOWNBAN happens. It discourages them because instead of causing anger, and they are realized for the sad people that they really are. Just look up the word on google. We probably overeacted, but you have to admit that before you made a second this looked like another one of those threads. I'd recommend just trying to blend in and understand the people here before posting about how blind everyone is to the obvious truth you have discovered.

Meh BSN isn't any different then any other forum really. I've been foruming since the only thing you could post on with anyone to talk to was Yahoo forums and Exctite! chat (cookie if you know what that was ...) Believe it or not things have gotten better. The madness and mayhem that used to be social interaction when people got hooked on posting anonymously... Oh the nightmares...
:o At least since then we've established clear rules and we TRY to follow netiquette.

I have to disagree with you, and agree with eldav.

I too have been "foruming" for a long time (I started in 1996). Things have improved since then (thank god for moderators) but of course this is still the intenet.

These days I spend time on quite a lot time of different game forums (all moderated) and each has it's own tone, maturity level, sense of humour, and so on. And I have to say that BSN is just about the b!tchiest forum I know! Intelligence levels on here seem better than average (so far as I can judge) but that's often hard to notice under all the catfights.

I totally agree, I've been around on these forums since Mass Effects announcement, I've been around a lot on other forums, since the early days of modern foruming (whatever that means). My post count here may not be very high here, and for good reason. I mean, I visit these forums a good couple of times a day, I recognise some users, I remember some populour trolls.

Its just the majority of users seem so immature, and with Mass Effect being such an expansive universe, you get some real snobs here, because they believe they know so much about the Mass Effect Universe, some people need to remember that to the layman, the Mass Effect Universe is just a game, and the main plot of the game at that, and if anyone needs a personal opinion on it, this will be the first place they go. Some people do need to get over themselves here.

That said, theres good and bad in all communities and this is no exception. Theres definitly your fair share of nicies here aswell, its just both ends of the spectrum are very far on this forum.:bandit:

If troll:
You should have acted.
They're already here.
The Shattered Steel forums told of their return.
Their defeat was merely delay
Til the time after Dragon Age 2 released,
When the forum users would spill their own blood.
But no-one wanted to believe.
Believe they even existed.
And when the truth finally dawns:
It dawns with trolling.
But,
There's one they fear.
In their tongue, he's Movahdiinr:
Moderator!

If not: :D
