Me playing ME2 at the beggining, scars on the face and whatnot
Friend: why does he have lava coming out of his face?
Honestly, i would prefer it to be more like a terminator thing than a sith lord thing. It would be epic if you didn't start with the scars in ME3, but there were scenes in which Shepard takes a hit and exposes his/her not so human features

So, what's your take on the lazarus scars and at what point do they lose the coolness factor? I personally enjoy them at the point where Shepard only has the three red lights in his eyes, but maintaining the Paragade score at that point is a pain (before you ask, I don't do the hacking thing because I don't know or care how). Others I know like their renegades descending (so to speak) into Terminators, others will gladly shell out the 50000 platinum for the healing procedure.
Preferred the ME1 scars. They had more character and I had little backstories fro how he got them. Eh, whatever.

Do I like the scars? Hell no! I removed them on my Renegade playthrough. Ugly as hell.

I cannot accept the reasoning behind this though. Why is Renegade more stressed? He is getting much more fun by shooting mercs and punching reporters. Perhaps it would be better if Shepard's eyes glowed when Shepard is angry.
Also this. I wonder how powerfull at reanimating these implants are. Can they remove bullets from Shepard's body? Can they restore heartbeat?thurmanator692 wrote...

It's not stress, its positive and negative thoughts.Wizz wrote...

The facial scars work for some playthroughs, others not so much.

I just thought of something - Those implants can restore Shep's heartbeat, that's why hir health regens instead of relying on medigel like in the first game. Of course, this doesn't explain why your squadmates seem to have regenerating health as well, but that's probably just anti-frustration.

Armour has changed to contain medigel conduits which auto heals anyone wearing the armour. Health regen has got nothing to do with Shepards heart restarting after being shot.
Basically the technology from some of the armour mods in ME1 (which grants auto healing and immunity to poison at high lvls) has advanced enough to be standard issue in all suits of armour and even implanted into people themselves.

I wish some of the characters would comment on the scars, I guess most people would be too polite (or afraid Shep might punch them) to say anything but characters Shep has known since ME1 would surely say something.

Instead of Shepard's face eating itself, maybe something else? His/her scarring heals completely as a natural healing process, or by any other way Cerberus deems necessary to complete Shep's visage. Instead, he/she acquires scars during their missions? Maybe with considerably wicked choices, Shep receives more scars than when he/she makes noble ones? That seems more logical to me, anyway.
But you know, I guess in theory that could be what is happening in the game: get more damage as a Renegade, more of your face gets peeled off. But the "you can heal your face with positive thinking" scenario is weak to me. I miss the option to have scars or not like in ME1 - how they look and where they are placed. As said before by others, the Renegade scarring is too bright; Shepard looks like a lava lamp ready to blow.

I can actually live without the scars. When I found out they would remain and get worse due to your decisions, I immediately thought of Fable. Okay, ME is sci-fi and anything can happen, but I thought the transformer scarring was a bit silly.[quote]I thought more of KotOR II-The Sith Lords actually instead of Fable. I never really got any scars in Fable and the ones you did get had nothing to do with your choices, but if you got knocked out or not. Unless your are refering to the horn/halo thingy. Or the white/red wings in Fable III.
