I kinda like them, if only because they're proof of how much cybernetics really went into resurrecting Shepard. I wish the game would've addressed Shepard's "cyborgness" more, I guess it might be somewhat different in the future, but I still think waking up and finding out large parts of your body isn't human any more would freak you out a bit.
Shepard's regen scars- Cool or gross?

Personally I'd like to have the eyes as red as they can get and with just the scarring on the cheek(at the point where it's more visible then at the start, but hasn't started spreading)

I liked the idea of it being able to show the effect of being a paragon and renegade.
on the note I saw someone mention it taking part in ME3 i think it will depend on your rating from ME2 whether your character has scaring or not which the one that was on show at E3 was most likely a default shepherd which is why it has shown the paragon and renegade as 0.
But I could be wrong but i do hope it keeps the scarring levels you had at the end of ME2 over to ME3 from the start

I liked them, they served their purpose in ME2 but I was sad that the scars I picked in ME were gone. I figured they were gone because of new skin graphs Cerberus used or something, but I was hoping to be able to choose new scars for my para sheps sense their's are all healed and sense the SM I'm sure shep has received more.
What I didn't like about the ME2 scars was it's fable type of glow. I really hated being red in my scars I would've rathered they were there, noticeable, and healed over time w/o the whole terminator effect.
Though for a plus mshep for E3 had a noticeable head scar so I think they're bringing back custom scars for ME3!

Scars are wicked cool.
I was actually bummed out that my Paragons didn't get blue scars/eyes on my subsequent runs.

I don't like playing as a renegade for that very reason... I don't like when there is a glowing red... lava? under Shepard's skin. It's just silly...

They were ugly. Only in the beginning when they were kinda fadeish were they remotely cool. the red eyes was also overkill. Do not repeat Bioware.

I always always always get the sickbay upgrade. I can't stand those scars myself.

That annoyed me a bit since Kotor. I got that morale idea "be a good guy inside and you'll look good", but hey I doubt anyone plays as Pragon to get pretty model face for free. In my opinion neutrals should have most human appearance, I realize I'm absolute minority here.Saaziel wrote...

P.s. I wouldn't like blue scarring for Paragon though.

I tried to keep the scars on one of my ReneSheps, but the glowing red eyes just bothered me too much. I wasn't getting creeped out or anything, they just looked too cartoonishly evil. Really out of place when you're talking to a LI or Anderson or someone like that.
I ended up getting the MedBay upgrade on all my Sheps.

Thought it looked bad, thought the idea that morality effects your appearance in this setting was lame beyond all belief.

It was a bad idea in SW, a bad idea in Fable, and a bad idea in ME2.

Seriously, what woman's gonna swoon over a man that looks like that?

My main renegade got the med-bay upgrade to get rid of them. I didn't mind the red eyes so much, but the red scars made it look like the Lazarus project had spent the past two years sticking her face back together using a soldering iron.
I do have a couple of renegades who kept them though, for the Terminator factor. It does seem like an excuse for the old good person=pretty, 'bad' person=ugly cliche though.
