So...... we're allowed to talk about same-sex romances now?

Anyway, yay for gays. Shepard and Garrus can live happily ever after in a rainbow thanks to their endless whining.
Edit: Okay, bad me, trolling again. I'm happy for the people that wanted gay relationships, but I really hope Bioware handle it right. But after ME1, ME2 and DA2, I don't have much faith that they will.

It wasn't allowed? I must have missed that. Why would they ban such discussion before E3, given that E3 showed nothing romance-related?

Oh, I agree, I also hope that they'll bring in a new character (or characters), not have pre-established characters like Garrus suddenly come out of the closet out of the blue.

To be honest we were so excited leaving the space capsule, that we sort of lost the run of ourselves. Having just seen a glimpse of Miranda on screen, thoughts turned to our own lonely fem Shep. "Please make Miranda do girl/girl in this one," we spluttered to Hudson, hoping to sound like light-hearted rogues not massive space pervs.
It wasn't entirely clear he'd heard us correctly, but his startled looking eyes suggest he probably had. Sorry Casey. We're very tired. Now, where are those Mentos?

I'd LOVE to chat about same-sex romances (especially with James Vega, now that we've seen him in action!) but I doubt we're "allowed." We probably won't be allowed to discuss it at all until the same-sex options as revealed.
We should be good now. Whenever Chris locked a topic he said "We're not discussing same-sex LI's until after E3." Well, it's after E3, so I'm guessing that means we're okay!

Okay... well, then, I'm gonna go for it! (And hope this thread isn't locked before I hit "SUBMIT REPLY!")
JAMES VEGA. From what we've seen of him (beefy guy, innit he?) I want him to be an all-out Soldier. Pretty much Zaeed 2.0, with a sniper rifle. Total weapons expert.... and utterly indifferent between genders! If it can be fired, James can shoot it, and if it can be romanced, James can make love to it!
That's just my wild spectulation of course, but a bisexual soldier who just as readily hits on manShep as femShep? Yes please. Do want.

So, does he take it up the butt or put it up the butt?

Let's not get too crude, don't want this thread to get locked TOO early on.

I almost hope that it's Vega and that he's exclusively gay, because that would help equal things out more in terms of all of the Bioware game love interests.

I hope whomever the M/M option is, it's either a new character (like Vega) or a character that didn't have a romance before (like Joker).
Ooooh, hadn't even thought of the possibility of it being Joker. Well, I have always had a huge crush on Seth Green.....

Joker's a good option, I think. There's already that friendship with male and female Shepard, and more than any other currently non-romanceable character, fans want him as a romance (if the thread on BSN is to be an indication).Fidget6 wrote...

From a PM from Chris Priestly ALL
ROMANCE topics are on hold until next week when supposedly information
will be released. So this thread is probably in for a locking.

FemShep and Liara's relationship was handled very well imo. And to be perfectly honest, I can't imagine MShep and Liara. It only seems to work with FemShep imo.

Oh really? Can you forward that to me? It sounds interesting! Is there any information on what kind of information we'll get or when? Or if they'll even mention same-sex options at all?

I agree.FemShep and Liara's relationship was handled very well imo.
I have no complaints about the F/F romances that Bioware has done.
Now, I thought they could have handled M/M Sky, Zevran, and maybe Anders better.

I also think Zevran was handled very well, to be honest, especially once you got past the sex and into the emotional complexity that was later. Bioware can do it if they put their mind too it, I'm sure there's nothing to fear.

I think the problem with Zevran for me was that it was clear (imo) that he preferred women, even when you were playing as a male warden.
Zevran was bisexual, which is an existing sexuality and also deserves representation. He and Leliana were very well written bisexuals, especially compared to the DA2 mess.

While Leliana clearly preferred women....exactly. That was a problem too....not that I bothered with Zevran...ew.
