Makes sense. ME1 started with a view of Earth, then Shepard looking out of a window, then moving away from the window then walking through the Normandy.
So, all theyd have to do is reverse that, show Shepard walking through the Normandy, going to a window, looking through the window at earth, then a wide shot of Earth.
