I've been saying it since ME2, and now I have proof. (possible spoilers)

I've always said that Anderson would die, or sacrafice himself, for a huge dramatic moment. I always know that there would need to be a scripted death to show how real the reaper threat is and that no one is invulnerable. Anderson always seemed like the perfect candidate and now i have something that looks almost like proof. Machinima had a live demo with Jesse Houston and at the end of the Earth demo I saw something interesting.

It happens at about 16:30 if you want to skip there. While you can't hear anything, notice Shep's sad face and the dialogue choices. very suggestive of a self sacrafice. Leave thoughts and opinions below.

Not a death scene, but.....might as well be.He's still leaving the picture, being left behind, sacraficing himself, and let's face it. staying on earth is pretty much a death sentence.

I didn't seem him die in the demo...did you?
The last thing you see is Shepard's choices:

If you stay, I'm staying
OR
The hell you're not!

Besides IGN got to see the next scene involving the shuttle you saw landing...and it does NOT involve Anderson dieing

Even attempting to resist the Reapers in general is a death sentence.  But Shepard and everyone he can talk into it are still going to try.

Mostly confirmed that this is not where Anderson dies.  He may, or may not, die later depending on your choices.

If Bioware does force a scripted death, I do hope it involves him doing something so insanely awesome, that even Chuck Norris would approve.

Did anyone else notice that in that ME3 playthrough Anderson was an Admiral and not a Councilor. I wonder if that will have any effect on what happens during this part. If he's Councilor maybe he'd leave on the Normandy but if he's an Admiral he'll stay to lead whatever forces are left on Earth.

Yep, that's what the dialogue options suggest.  I'm actually quite pleased with this development, despite my intial guess that he'd be the latest redshirt/Jenkins/cannon fodder.

Anderson quits as councilour in Retribution. He's a straight up Admiral now.

captain anderson will NOT go out like jenkins or vernor.

not a chance, if anything andersons going out would only be eclipsed by shepards, or possibly ****in garrus.

Pommie guy in first trailer is still fighting (at least) a week after the Reapers attack. And you see plenty of Alliance flying around, fighting, in that trailer. A resistance isn't unreasonable but it would fail eventually. Question is can it survive till Shepard returns with the cavalry? Maybe there will be a point when you're notified that they can't survive much longer and you have to choose to return with what you've got or let them fend for themselves so you can better prepare. Repercussions similar to the Suicide Mission in ME2.
