Well the attack on earth is evidence enough. If the stupid council does'nt call it a Batarian attack of revenge for what happend in arivll or a geth attack or both. In ME3 the council can rot for all I care.

There are some screenshots floating around in another thread of a distinctly alien looking benig stuck inside a stasis bubble. Wether or not thats a prothean, or even the DLC squadmate, is still being speculated upon.

For all we know there could be a few Protheans in stasis deep in The Citadel being kept hidden by The Keepers or something.

I'm glad there is no Prothean DLC character. That would just be borderline stupid, if not stupid itself.
HOW DARE YOU ! I found this idea awesome ! I even thought about a come-back on Ilos to discover there is one guy somewhere still kept frozen ! that would be frickin' great !

Not in my mind. I'd be like, "seriously?"

*draws upon the power of Turian Councillor*
Ah yes "typo" the alleged mistake of saying there would be a Prothean DLC Squadmate for ME3. Bah, we have dismissed Bioware's claim.
Heck people could probably come to this conclusion if they listen closely to the Fall of Earth trailer. I mean the guy Shepard is apparently talking to sounds a bit wimpy. At first I tried to picture what kind of Alliance Officer or Earth Official this couldbe. But he just speaks so strangely. I almost came to the conclusion that maybe he just wasn't a very good VA.
But now it makes sense. If you think of the guy saying "We need a plan to stop them!" as a Prothean it makes perfect sense. He sounds like Vigil in that he has that very melancholic sounding voice.

This is a very good point. However, if a secret prothean dlc is planned, I seriously hope they change there minds. They will never implement it in a way that doesn't make it seem retarded that we have a prothean running around with us even though a majority of them were wiped out by the reapers 50,000 years ago and the few that we know that actually survived this, died in hibernation pods.

As far as we know the only limit to how much a person can spend in a hybernation pod is the amound of available power. On the Citadel it is virtually unlimited and not monitored by anyone. So I think that those 13 people could be there for 50k years without anyone taking notice.Flashlegend wrote...

I support the theory that Vigil was actually programmed for missinformation so that anyone finding Ilos looses track of the surviving Protheans. (If you can traved with a vehicle to tha citadel they could have too(in fact it would be kind of stupid if they didn't)!)
The scientists made it to the citadel prepared it and left afterwards to hide somewhere (perhaps in stasis) till the Reapers are eventually defeated or to help defeat them.
They could not just openly survive as this would have provoced a swift Reaper return.
Actually for me it is harder to believe they just went there to die.
