I mean if you have Wrex as ruler of the Krogan he is smarter than he looks and is pretty much on Shephards side anyway. Do Krogan have ANY starships at all? Or do they just have those Derrick troop transport things

Wrex would know automatically to join whoever has the biggest guns and thats definetly where Shephard will be.

How does throwing a Krogan Princess in the mix help anything? Wouldnt that just cause Wrex or Wreav to fight over her and protect her instead of fighting Reapers? Shouldnt the Krogan Princess be a reward once the Reapers are defeated? Otherwise Galactic life is dead anyway and it wont matter how many Krogan they reproduce.

And if Wrex is dead and Wreav is in charge wouldnt Wreav just throwdown with Shep for ownership of her? Figuring hes got nothing to lose by cutting out middle man we would probably get into Kinect fistacuffs with him.

She helps in a form of being a symbol that is a great help in unification of Tuchanka's clans and the fact that Wrex is marrying into royalty will cement his position as a domineering leader.

And concerning Krogan starships - they don't need their own, their combat mastery as ground troops is what it counts. In the demo it is also mentioned that the princess is the key for TURIAN - KROGAN alliance, so it would go like this; turian fleet comes, drops krogans on the targeted planet, they kill all the husks and turians deal with Reapers in space.

Think of her as a Krogan Loyalty Mission.

Maybe she's not affected by the Genophage.

Please keep in mind that level shown in the demo takes places midway through the game. You have absolutely no idea what the state the Krogan are in(reaper invasion kind of happened you know) and we have no idea what major events concerning the Krogan's have taken place. From the way Shepard was talking it seemed like she was literally the last fertile female of the krogan.

This.

Also lineage is also important in Krogan society.  If this princess is a decendent of Shiagur or some other notable Krogan warlord, Wrex stands to gain a lot of political clout with a marriage bond linking his clan to hers.

She's fertile, and I think you had the plot twist. better than that : we know that there is some peoples on this planet immune to HIV and they can pass this immunity to others by a transplant.

I think she is Immune to the Genophage...

I think in a preview I forgot what I think it was Casey who said that she isn't really a princess that's its just what fans called her. Though same I didn't see the point and what was she doing on the Salarian home world anyway?

I don't think lineage is really that important. The fact that she's fertile makes her a priceless individual in the eyes of the Krogan. From the trailer, maybe Mordin knows this and is risking alot to ensure her safety. An act of atonement on his part maybe. Or just giving the Krogan a chance for hope if he's still working on the genophage. In a nutshell, I think the fact that she can have live births would supercede the fact that she's a princess. Being royalty is probably just a bonus at that stage but not that important.

Any kids she has with a genophaged krogan will produce genophaged kids. So she is it.

Her life will be nothing but laying on her back and popping out babies.

Yes, that's what Casey said. She isn't a 'princess'.

She's just incredibly important. We can assume that she's a fertile Krogan, having been cured from the genophage by rogue salarian STG members (Mordin even suggests as much in the demo, if you hear his lines).

A fertile krogan female would be a huge bargaining chip in any negotiations with the krogan. More so if they have an alliance with the turians.

She isn't a princess. That is just a title some magazine gave her.

Well, do we know if the genophage is passed from both parent genes, or is it possible that it is only passed on by the father?

It "might" have something to do with the Batarian "prophet" on Omega. He claims that the Protheans cast out the "unclean" races - he named Humans, Krogan, and Vorcha.

We know that humans are genetically more diverse than the other races - Mordin says so. That's why they're good for testing.

We know Vorcha don't get disease - Mordin also confirms.

And - we know that the Krogan almost evolved through the genophage once (again, Mordin confirms his work on the "second" genophage).

====

So - perhaps Mordin finally undoes the genophage. This "princess" could be the vaccine - all that needs to be done now is to get her to Tuchanka where she can have thousands of offspring.

Bam - the Krogan have a fighting chance once again... and the Reapers might actually suffer from a fully functioning Krogan army.

It's been said, but she's not a princess. Mordin has been working on something and she's the last survivor. It probably means that she hasn't the genetic markers for genophage, so she's fertile and her babies could be fertile too. It would be natural selection: the fertiles will be the one to have children, so krogans without those genetic markers will spread over the ones who have them (maybe her children are carriers at first, but after some generations there would be more homozygotes without markers).

She's gonna be there to unify the krogan to kick some reaper ass. Wrex or whoever is in charge dont control all the frigging clan but owning the cure to the genophage will probably rally them all.

I'm not sure I really want a fully funtional Krogan army. For one, should the Reapers be defeated, what is stopping the Krogan from overrunning the galaxy? Listening in on the Urdnot warriors in Mass Effect 2 shows how much anger many of the Krogan still harbour for the Turians and Salarians. Secondly, I think curing the genophange would be counterproductive to what Wrex wants to achieve. If a cure is released, there's a very good chance that most will forget about Wrex's plan and go their own way, to build up their clan's strength. I doubt, given what the other races of the galaxy have done to them in the past, that these rogue clans would care about the plight of other races.

This is all just speculation. If Wrex says jump, only so many Krogan say how high. With Wreav his influence is even lower. If Shepard wants to load up boarding shuttles with millions of Krogan to go medieval on reaper cores, he needs Tuchanka stable and united. Otherwise Wrex wouldn't even be able to send out his hoard or the other clans would make a move when all his troops are gone. With Krogan Princess in stock, every Krogan would want to join Wrex and Tuchanka becomes united.

The codex says the infected krogan spread the disease to the other krogan in their bunkers in an attempt to out breed the genopahge.

The fertile female does not have the genophage. She can breed, but the children will all still be infected with it because it will pass down from the father. Unless they retcon it.  The only females who can mass produce krogan are the ones who've been alive since the rebellions and managed to not get directly infected.  Thats' one of the reasons the krogan got so pissed over Shiagur's death. She was able to have babies like normal.

The krogan will get in line or they'll get regenophaged,
