I'm pretty sure that the only confirmed sighting of James Vega is in the Alternate Appearance Pack image - which doesn't look anything like the soldier in gray armor with the sniper rifle, or the soldier in gray armor on the Normandy. Sure, they could all be the same person, but it's just pure speculation.Bluko wrote...
Maybe the guy we saw in the trailer was James Vega himself (most likely an early version of him they scrapped). But we have seen some pictures of someone who can really only be James Vega. We know he's pretty big and that he carries a sniper rifle. Hmm carries a sniper rifle. Coincidence much?

And that trailer could simply be a metaphor for how bleak the situation is, or they just wanted to show that the invasion was actually happening. It doesn't necessarily have to mean anything at all.

This. Every recent cinematic trailer for a Bioware game has been made by a third party (usually Blur) and has little to nothing to do with the actual game. They just look neat.Massadonious1 wrote...

Tragic, really. ME3 could use a sexy dose of British.

Doesn't a red shirt have to die in the beginning of a game? If so, I don't think he can be one, since it looks like we're starting in the Vancouver/Seattle Megacity and leaving Earth from there.
Anyway, since having Nigel as a full time squaddie is looking very unlikely I really hope we meet him at the end of the game when we begin retaking Earth.

That said; I doubt he'll play a massive role, considering he's still on Earth after Shepard escapes, and in a different country. Maybe we'll meet him if / when we come to retake Earth, like others have said, but I'm not sure.

I'd go with: He's an early version of Vega. Too many details that fit, for me not to think this.

He nails a husk from right atop the Big Ben tower. Pretty badass.

Actually we knew he wasn't Vega long before the pre-order details were revealed. A BioWare dev said it on this forum shortly after the Game Informer article came out.GreedIgnored wrote...
I mean we all though he was James Vega up until it was revealed the guy in the pre-order is Vega.

Because:

2. He sounds cool.
3. His voice acting is actually pretty good.

If they do that then they should give British players the option to ask the same thing to American crewmates!

Wasn't it said that we will be seeing other N7s in ME3? If he was wearing N7 armor, we might be seeing him.
I don't know 100% if that is true about seing other N7s.

We also hear "Vega" narrating the beginning of the Fall of Earth trailer shown at E3. So, I'm pretty convinced Vega's the lad with the "sexy accent." If it's proven he's not, I'm setting a herd of Texas longhorns loose in Bioware's HQ.
