So we got a good look at the revamped ship. It got a new paintjob: less shiney. and sleek but model is the same.
Its good looks are undisputed i just hope the interiors get some  love, especialy the layout of the ship that is rather badly designed

There where first glimses of the loading deck and it sems thy removed the ventilation system, the ramp is new as well
Conferance room is mostly the same, this could mean thy are adding rather than changing
I do hope that since this is a military ship now the new changes will reflect that and not cerberus way to have a pleasure yacht with guns

I kinda liked the leather seats, military may set the hardware standards but on a first gen cruiser, they couldnt care less if the seats breath :P
Also, we had a bar. Bet we wont be allowed to drink anymore...

It was known for a while that the ship would remain the same. The Alliance will be adding some new rooms for Shepard to explore, and the ship will probably be denser with content, but that's that. No time for gimmicky bars when a full-out war is underway.

Joker will be pissed if they remove his leather seats. It should be a part you can buy at a store to make Joker happy like Chakwas' Wine in ME2. Buy him a nice yacht rated leather chair.

Originally, the SR2 was a civilian ship. We were lucky Joker was wearing pants.

I don't think the ramp is new, how you think we got the Nuke off the original Normandy? You can see in that scene the marines and the VS walking down from the Normandy and considering the way the wings are it'd have to be a ramp they used to get from the cargo area.

We just didn't see it in use during ME2 because there was no need for it really.

you can seen it in ME2 when you board the collector cruiser; to explain: its diffirent in ME3 and smaller; but at least no more vents
rather siilly, obstructs the entire deck just cuz Cerb. enginers where lazy and refused to mount them above

I hope we get a bigger crew. SR2 was too empty

I'm glad it's being used as in field support again like in ME1 instead of just dropping off the shuttle/Hammerhead and hanging out in space the whole mission.

Should have the same amount of crew, and less squadmates, so should be even emptier.

They better fill it with their personalities.

From the vid yesterday, Hudson said the Normandy was in the Alliance's control and was partially retrofitted so some things will stay the same but there will be new rooms etc.

There is a miniature model of the Alliance Normandy SR-2 in the Bioware store, look it up. Basically, it's the same in design as the original SR-2, only has blue lines instead of yellow ones, and sports Alliance Navy logos in place of the Cerberus insignias.

At least let us keep the, "Captain's loft," but maybe make it a little more utilitarian with more things for us to do up there. Wouldn't it be awesome to get on the intercom and summon a crew member to our quarters as an alternative to tracking them down in their designated area?!? An option to do it either way would be cool. "Ashley, report to my quarters immediately!"

I never used the fish tank. Well, not for fish. In my headcanon, it became a trash bin/dirty clothes hamper/paper basketball hoop/filing cabinet. But it had to be a **** trying to sleep with all that light.

They better not have messed up Shepards quarters like make it smaller or replace the proper bed with that gawd awfull metal bed from ME1 (For obvious reasons I will not be explaining) or the ones who did it are going to get shot after ME3, if they happen to survive the reaper war.

Shepard has no time for sleep, Garrus has taught him this.

I think there were a few screen captures of what looked like the interior of the SR2, had a Salarian (unidentifiable), Legion, and a Quarian (unidentifiable) in there. Maybe diplomats or something gathering on your ship as well as companions?

One thing I don't get:
How can the Normandy go planet-side now? Before, it said since it was twice as big as the original, it couldn't land on the surface of a planet because of gravity and all that, which is why you had to drop the Kodiak down from orbit. But in the Earth demo and the Geth/Reaper base demo, it shows the Normandy coming in closer than ever before. Maybe Alliance upgraded the tech or something? Just seems a bit weird, especially since it hasn't really been brought up.

How would Garrus know, does he calibrate in front of Zaeed's security feed?

The SR2 is twice as heavy, which means there are some planets it can't land on- not that it can't land on all planets, just the gravity heavy ones- I believe that's what EDI says. Since Earth is literally at 1.0g since that's what the system we've been determining this by, there's no reason why they can't hover in to get us.

Mhm, that makes sense. I remember landing on Illium and all that.
