Installing Awakening after 1.04: How to patch on a Mac?

I just installed Awakening, with DA:O already patched to 1.04. Does Awakening (1.03) automatically get patched? I understand there is no manual installer for the Mac 1.04 patch... and that Awakening reverts some files from 1.04 back to 1.03...
