Hi!
I play a male character with >90% liking from Leliana, but I can't get the romance to work. There are no new dialogue options, and I have not received the Marjorlaine quest. I have seen talk about this being glitched, and that you can fix it by breaking up with her. But we're not even involved yet!
Help please!
Can't get romantic with Leliana!

The glitch occurs if you get her approval up too quickly. Then you don't get to ask her if bards are really spies (which is a prerequisite for the Marjolaine quest which in turn is a prerequisite for the romance). So you do need to lower her approval.

Have you got the Pranks DLC? Send to her something she detests and it will be fine, you don't have to pick her all the time to reduce her approval in some quests

If you want to romance her, not before you have accomplished her own quest.

Like they've said, if you advanced her approval rating too quickly, then use the FeastDay Prank item for her. Here's the interesting thing I've noticed: If a character's FeastDay 'Present' is not in your inventory, Bodahn has it once more in his item lists. So, ditch the fat lute after you finish the quest, get it once more from Bodahn and whammo! You got her right back up. I had the same problem and this worked for me.

I had the same problem. You need to get her approval back under 70. I would not use the -50 gift. Use one of the -15 ones like coal.

Yes, the -50 prank gift is a little excessive, but after you get the dialogue choice you want, just re-gift her with her FeastDay gift and you're good to go. Oh, but do make sure it isn't in your inventory when you go to get it, otherwise, it's a no-go. I did this and it worked out just fine for me.
