We must give substance to these origins and assignments, which were barely visible in M1 and totally ignored in M2. Give a deeper meaning in the origins and assignments play a major role in the thought that there are choices and really different background.

How can we improve it ? By giving new missions, to make encounters with characters in particular, or indicating what has happened in the past. Of course, always allowing a choice Renegade/paragon.

I'm a spacer, can I talk with my mother ? What I deal with her ?

I am a colonist, what became Talitha ?

I'm Earthborn, could I come sweep the reds? or help them in Earth they are still my friends ?

Well, we 're in a galactic war, but would we want only focus on major task ?

The same for War hero, Survivor, Torfan.

I want a true meaning, what it means, what really makes the difference.

Maybe add dialogues especially in relation to that Shepard, a slightly different behavior? I do not know. but I'd really like to deepen this good idea for me has not really been exploited to its maximum.

Well, they weren't totally ignored in ME2. I believe you did get an email from people in ME2.

It would be nice if your origin had some impact in ME3. However, Bioware has so many hundreds of decisions with which to use, I'm not sure they will give the origins much weight.

I think it's the right time for Shepard to be deepened in the last episode.

All the characters who are back will be, why not him ?

For Torfan, we can consider that there is a capital of nearly zero sympathy among Batarians if they must play a role against the reapers. It would be funny.

Shepard an orphan and who knows nothing of his past? Why not find something on him surprising.

It's the last episode, and they want it as the best, every detail, including neglected in previous episodes may help. I really hope they will not forget what they have started well: /

Exactly. For example, Implement or add a dramatic story Earth / colonies for colonist, would be really great. Something that would not have other origins as well.

A new emotion in the face of shepard ? :alien:

You mean an emotion right?

Hannah Shepard -should- show up at the trial. It makes sense.

if you're a spacer I think you should recieve a message from your mother moments before her ship is destroyed. that would be pretty sweet.

No no no no....receive a transmission from here AS her ship is destroyed. Gives the player visual, makes them think how they would act if their REAL mother was killed like that....REVENGE IS SO SWEET

If they don't mention that Shepard is an Earthborn during the attack on Earth, its almost as bad as the Sole Survivor not being able to say a goddamn thing about Akuze to Cerberus in ME2.

I agree. In ME2, we only got a mention of our origins in emails (ugh). I hope they bring those back to prominance in ME3. It would be nice to have some of your teammates come up to you on the Normandy and talk about your past. For my main Shep, I wanna see my mom and talk about the Skillian Blitz.

And since we're fighting Cerberus again like we did in ME1, we BETTER be able to bring up Akuze as Sole Survivors.

Hell, my Shepard is an Earthborn Sole Survivor.

That's what I mean. Not a distress signal, but maybe MomShep is transmitting some testmony for the trial and half-way through the Reapers blow up her ship and she dies.

That's not totally true.  There's that conversation right at the start with Miranda and Jacob, and there's a brief reference in the (awful for other reasons) paragon response to Khalisa if the Council are dead.

The emails were all cheap. Still, Jacob&Miranda did mention your background when you went to rendezvous with the Illusive Man.

Not good enough. In ME1, everyone seemed to talk about what you did, even your squadmates. I want that to come back, but maybe expand upon it.

I want the origins to be a part of the reapers indoctrination attack on shepard. I also want to see Shepard's mother in Me3 commanding a starship to battle from Spacer origin.

I too would really like something to come of our origins. I'm actually worried about Mom for my spacers, I mean she commands a dreadnaught and the fleet is destroyed. Hoping for something especially poignant.

Thank you. How Bioware can miss such an opportunity?

if you're a spacer I think you should recieve a message from your mother moments before her ship is destroyed. that would be pretty sweet.

Lol. It would be interesting and exciting if Bioware allows us to meet her  first and get a little emotional scene before her ship is destroyed :)

So, just an email ? What a lack of ambition. ^^

lol, I agree. It's a shame that Bioware has not thought about or have ignored it. Frankly I was disappointed.

Seriously, can we really ignore this potential ? At least make the effort to make consistent this will and determination to establish a difference in the origins in the early stages of Mass Effect.

the thing that i hated the most in all mass effect conversations is that in LotSB after beatting Vasir and Vasir said to Shepard not to judge her and acused him for working with Cerberus ..Shepard didn't get a dialog option to say "I don't judge you ..i know we're the same" ...i was so mad that Shepard judged Vasir ...my shepard is allmost all the time Earthborn/ Sole Survivor and he judged Vasir ????...there i felt the most lack of RP in all mass effect

lol, you guys think BW actually cares about any of the backgrounds from ME1? I guess people have a short term memory, if they completely brushed off all of the Sole Survivors in ME2 by having them work for Cerberus, what makes you think they are going to do anything for our backgrounds?

ME1 backgrounds and history will be mostly ignored again in ME3, watch. Might get an email, if we're lucky.

We know that they brushed the origin story off in ME2. We want them to know that we're pissed that they dropped the ball (especially with Sole Survivor) and don't do it again.

I am actually hoping that the "Earth Born" background will receive some considerable attention here and there. Also, maybe Mindoir get's wiped out by the Reapers, in case you're a colonist or the ship your mother is on get's blown to pieces.

Still, I'm not expecting much to be honest.
