We know that they brushed the origin story off in ME2. We want them to know that we're pissed that they dropped the ball (especially with Sole Survivor) and don't do it again.

Oh, they know people arent happy, but i seriously doubt they will do anything to rectify it. I think in their minds, they think ME1 is mostly its own spin-off game, only used for a few plot elements and choices.

I don't expect much, but why not try to remember that there is an element that hasn't been exploited and has been botched ? Bioware isn't obliged to hire tons of resources to correct the error. Seriously, as EarthBorn for example you'll go on Earth, it wouldn't shock you that Shepard doesn't react when he returned to Vancouver, at home ?

I'd rather not have playable flashbacks. If they can implement them well, then I guess so, but I think they'd prefer it if it was left to the imagination.
