 Does anyone know if its been discussed whether or not we can romance a mass effect 1 character that we didn't romance in the first game.  I tried to romance Ashley but somehow i screwed that up and i was wondering if i'll get a second shot in me3?

Yes, because Bioware wants the game to be new user friendly.

Also: Mass Effect 3 is going to be a shooter/RPG, not a porn game. Just sayin' with all the talk of catsuit Ash.

I don't think that's been discussed officially by Bioware.
My opinion is that I prefer that you get one shot and if you don't romance them in that particular game, it's friendship path from then on.

All we seem to know that they'll be talking about it "after e3" next week.
Apparently it's important enough to them that they've been closing romance threads (like this one) until whatever they have to say next week has been said.

Yeah.  They've closed many romance (and character) threads already.  It's starting to get annoying.

I personally hope they flagged those who already turned them down, but give new players the chance at romancing them.  Depending on how ME1 and ME2 flags were set, I may be asking too much.

Didn't know we're suppoused to get more romance info. Can you guys/gals tell me where was it confirmed? Was it actually said we'll be getting some new info on the romances to discuss or is it just what people assume based on 'no romance talk till after E3' temprorary rule?

I don't know if you'll be able to romance Kaidan/Ash/Liara if you didn't in ME1, but I do know there will be new LI's introduced. There's apparently going to be more information about the romances released next week, and we're not supposed to talk about them on the forums until then.

Chris Priestly stated yesterday (my time) in a PM that the ME3 team will be talking more about the romances next week and a forum thread would follow.

We'll be discussing romances more next week. I will restart the thread early next week once the E3 crew is back here.
