Are there any mods or console commands to add Sebastions or Varrics trees to Hawkes? It seems quite unfair that they get amazing talents but us Archers don't well we do get some decent trees but we are limited.

Thank you.

Yes console commands.

runscript addtalent #

212000 - Marksman
213000 - Royal Archer

Think have to do it twice, once for tree, then second time +1 (so 212001) for base skill.

Edit: On topic of archers being underpowered. Previously I would disagree since the assassinate skill was amazing, but now there is that 40% damage limit. Best to go Shadow/Dualist to aim for 100% critical chance, pumping out constant criticals and disorientation.

Can I add both Marksman and Royal Archer or just the one? Also what would you prefer for an Archer in terms of builds?

Edit: Thank you for this :)

You can add as many trees as you want, even ones from other classes. The dragon age wiki has all of them listed on the console page.

http://dragonage.wik...(Dragon_Age_II)

Best bow is probably the Absolution (found from the nexus golem in act 3) or the fire bow you get from the high dragon.

Puzzle Ring of the Black Fox found in act 2 (docks hidden passage at night) for 88 sovereign gives alot of nice bonuses for rogues.

+2 dexterity
+2 cunning
+9% critical chance
Bonus to lockpicking
Enemies drop better equipment

recently finished a playthrough of a shadow/assasin archer (on hard, too bad/scared of nm), and it was a lot of fun. Disorienting fog meant Aveline just destroyed groups of stuff, and decoy meant that the hate was never on you. Oh and it hurt like a freight train.

And that 40% damage limit only applies to lieutenants, Assassins/Mages can still get gibbed (which is beyond satisfying)

I'm pretty sure it applies to all. I went from overkill on assassins to hardly any.

I'm going to try a rogue run through again soon so might retry.

Thats all well in good for PC players who can just ::add:: things, but for us on console, I do agree that Archers are kind of lacking in the skill department. But If you get an auto-crit machine going with an Archer, it's pretty much over :-).

Brittle + Mark + assassinate on an assassin 1-shots them (for me), or maybe i'm going insane, idk.

My currant auto-crit archer is duelist shadow and is completely in stoppable.

To elaborate now that I am home and looking at archer she is a level 17 rogue with 13 strength, 49 dex, 13 mag, 46 cun, 15 wil, 13 con inclueding bonuses from gear. She is using the gear from the DLC pack. I am planning on respecing her sometime after level 20 to be shadow assassin instead of shadow duelist that she is now.

I did the math, without the extra critical damage from cunning in assassin tree, its better to have maximum dex for crit chance and increase on base instead of more cun.

However with the assassin skill, having around equal, maybe a bit more cun is the sweet spot.
