You want to take TIM at his word and refuse to see what else is going on with him, that's okay. But be prepared for disappointment.

Dude, calm down. It's just a video game. You do realize that, right?

It may be a video game, but it has a lot of good topics that make it good for debating.

Again, I assume these debates we're having are restricted to the confines of the game's Universe. But then again, that's just me. I have no interest in establishing real-life parallels.

It's difficult not to establish real-world parrallels. Also, Hitler was in Human history I'm sure. It may be a different universe, but it's the same Humanity, and the same history.

I'm not upset I'm done talking about this because it's not going anywhere. I don't like going around in circles.

So Hitler was a space-****, bent on harvesting all life? Could have fooled me.

Ummmmm I think TIM hates Aliens more then Shepard and considering that he had aliens on his ship and access to files in ME2 I don't think he would betray humanity over a vendetta. I mean Cerberus is Humanity according to him. Or maybe he is trying to pull a Saren and to get some humans to be saved

No, Hitler was a man that believed in results. He would sacrifice his own citizens to bring about German domination. He authorized brutal experiments on his own people and PoWs in hopes of gaining more knowledge. So yes, he can be linked to Hitler in that he is not afraid to experiment on his own if it means the advancement and domination of the Human race.

That is why he is the worst of Humanity.

TIM's "best" quality is that he is a patriot, who cares about Humanity, and wants to see his species succeeds.

The Best= Patriotism, the Worst= Hitler like methods to achieve his goals, and using xenophobia to help push his agenda

Again, I worded it wrong and I changed it. You must not have looked at the modification.

Getting worst by the minute... Not only that, but I find it ironic that some people take offense when someone defends(?!) TIM, which is by all itents, a fictional character and yet here we have someone trying to get around Hitler's personality.

Ohhhhh Internet, how fascinating are thee.

How is it worse? His methods are like Hitler's, that's his negative. However, TIM's best quality is his patriotism. That's why he is a hotly debated character. He has Humanity's best interests at heart, but his methods are awful.

Again, I'll try to make myself even clearer:

Leave fiction within the bounds of fiction and leave real-life within the bounds of real-life. I'm sure some people have difficulty telling both apart, since they invest way too much time in some sort of virtual reality, but again, comparing Hitler and TIM is just wrong; You went way over your head by now. Period.

Can we get back to my OP or answer people's questions concerning this topic? Hitler has NOTHING to do with TIM or any aspect of the ME Universe.

I see people using real world facts to make their point all of the time. Not the first time on this forum. However, since this seems to be making you angry, I'll stick to the game realm. Besides, the debate is just going around in circles anyway.

Not angry, just umcomfortable especially when you apparently try to explain what drove him.

Well, considering I want to be a History major, I delve into history occasionally. Just because I don't agree with him, doesn't mean I don't want to understand what drove him to do such horrible things.

Understand history, or be doomed to repeat it.
