Yeah, I'm pretty sure he doesn't say that pre-suicide mission. As for the reactions, I personally like him as much as ever. I was only sharing my thoughts on that one line. But you're right. Seems quite a few people have grown suspicious of the man since Arrival, for some reason.Vertigo_1 wrote...
Oh he will be there...hes going to be in ME3 so not having him at the trial would be pretty odd...
Also
That part doesn't play if you haven't done the SM right?
I know for sure he doesn't say that after the SM
"Besides I'm not sure this is a Cerberus vessel anymore right?"
I'm a bit amazed at how people are reacting towards Hackett...I thought he was a fan favorite?

I'm sure the time Shepard spends in prison is going to be the time the Alliance will paint and study the Normandy. They will need some months to do that and that would explain the difference between the 2 months since Arrival (trial) and 6-12 months to the reapers attacking Earth.

Hackett seems to be one of the only people on Shep's side. If he doesn't say anything in Shep's defence, he'll remain silent, unless someone above him orders him to throw him under a bus.
There is no one 'above' Admiral Hackett, he is essentially the 'general' if you will of the Alliance Military. Only person above him would be the Commander in Chief.

He also said "I can be friendly... for now."Vertigo_1 wrote...
He said he would help us...
"I can't stop it but I can and will make them fight for it"
That was in regards with Cerberus, in honor of the fact that Shepard needed to work with them.
I think he'll back Shepard.

Why would he do that... (turn on us, that is)?
Necessity. If he thought it was serving a better purpose.

There is an above. The Joint Chief of Staff, Supreme Admiral, etc. It's the future anyway, so maybe things change. Either way, there is someone above him.

Will he throw us under the bus, or stand by our side and fight for us during the trial.
Mentioned earlier in my previous thread concerning Shep's trial, some people wonder if he will turn his back to us or help us.
I'm on the fence, but I think he would help us, even if it costs him his career... Hackett seems admirable enough.
I don't see why he would, I mean yeah he was kind of pissed that Shepard blew up a system, but in the Shadow Broker DLC, one of the terminals shows him denying the request by someone in the Alliance to detain Shepard and see what he was up to with Cerberus.

Plus being betrayed by the guy you thought you could trust for the entire series would be a dramatic twist. It's not like he hasn't done a few shady things before, remember the paragon and renegad-exclusive side missions in ME1?
Yeah, I don't really trust anyone going into that trial.
