Count me in on this one. Though it doesn't really feel like a sacrifice if  you abandon the Batarians. I'd say good riddance.

i wouldnt be able to choose, asari are all cool with their biotics and diplomacy, turians ,despite their councillor i respect for their honourable attitude, salarians are smart and they helped give us the genophage, they are also the only ones who can undo it also their motto is awesome "hold the line!"

I seriously doubt the Reapers would be targeting the Quarians. They would go after the major threats first: humans, asari, turians, salarians, krogan, batarians, geth. The volus and elcor would be pretty lightweight threats and the quarians would be insignificant.

Why would they go after the geth? Unless you are talking about the non-heretic geth.

If destroying the majority of the Reapers involves a meteor into a Mass Relay, you bet Sol's gonna get it if Earth is still getting the full force of Reapers attacking it. But if the choice is between every single race? Batarians.

Maybe not to the point of forsaking everyone else. But if I could only save one species, it would be my own.

Quarians are already a dying race. The Reapers would simply quicken their fate.

I'm assuming that we're talking about sacrificing homeworlds or homesystems. If so, the obvious answer is that you won't be given the choice as the enemy is seldom so accommodating as to attack the homeworld of the you would you choose for him to. However, if the choice were mine, I'd say that I would sacrifice the homesystem of the race with the widest presence throughout the rest of the galaxy and the best chance to re-establish itself through breeding.

The obvious choice is humans since the Reapers are already on Earth.

This.

Anything else is ridiculous.

What's with all the Quarian hate?

I vote for the Krogans. They are not as smart as the other races and their extremely violent.

Only one is needed to kill them all.

(Also, how is it that searching for a Reaper GIF, I find Tali and Miranda boobshots as the top google searches?)

Not hate, they're just the easiest target.

I can`t really see how any other race would be wiped out prior to humanity.

What kind of epic baiting would Shep have to do to lure all the Reapers away from Earth?
I`m excited to see how the writers make him/her pull that one off.

I already see Harbinger on the screen: "Dudes, what have you done? The ship that just fetched two guys and left Earth is the Normady"
Other Reapers: "Ohhhhh, you mean it was THE Normady. The one with Shepard onboard. Hmmm, that`s a problem. Guess we better follow `em..."

...Exit Reapers...

Humans and Batarians are already getting pwned, so that's out of the way.

I would say the Quarians and the Geth. They have the largest fleets in the galaxy. If they united, they could soak up a lot of the damage.

Non-heretic or the re-programmed Geth, yes. They are a far bigger threat the Quarians.

Vorcha cos they are useless, but if it had to be a race that has featured more the fact that the quarians are so few in numbers might make it worth considering sacrificing them

The turians evacuating Palaven to their nearest moon doesn't sound smart to begin with as they're pretty much making themselves an easier target if the Reapers attack them there...

...unless the turian moon is a Death Star in disguise then it could be a smart move. So I'd go with the turians for now.

The Asari - I'd unleash the Reapers solely to destroy everything about the Asari.

The only being I hate more than the Asari is TIM - but, in a purely utilitarian pragmatism, I'd work with TIM to destroy the Asari - because putting a bullet in one man's head is easier than taking out a whole race myself.

Whoa, what's with all of the Asari hate? I like Liara, and at least they're more open to Humanity then, say, the Batarians and the Turians.

Humans

Just because for once I'd like to see them sacrifice themselves for once instead of sacrificing another species for the sake of survival.

Um, my Shep sacrificed a lot of Human lives at the Battle of the Citadel for the Council. Too bad it was a waste. <_<

Sacrifice the entire race? I doubt that will be possible.

Now, if you mean 'sacrifice their home world', that answer will depend largely on a) their reproductive viability and B) how many worlds they colonised. I won't sacrifice the quarians or the krogan simply because I don't do genocide. Most likely, I'd have to choose the asari or the turians, since they seem to be able to repopulate quickly and have a large presence in space. I can still save their culture and people even if Pahlaven or Thessia is nuked.

Why a race that are so powerful and intelligent?

Why not the Hanar or Volus?

Pfft asari are elitist.  Though if I am sacrificing anyone it will be the batarians, and then after them the quarians even though I like the quarians.  At some point it becomes a numbers game, since the quarians are few in number less lives will be lost than if I sacrifice someone like the turians and I am not taking sacrificing earth off the table, especialy if sacrificing earth allows me to end the reaper threat once and for all.
