Most of these strikes me as a little callous, given that we're talking about the annihilation of an entire species, but ok.

It's a game. Get over yourself.

You forgot the role of calibrating, Turians are awesome at that.

Nope. Turians suck at calibrating.  It took Garrus' punk ass how long to calibrate?  Get some Mexicans, they'll take care of it.

We are barely established out on the colonies.  Something like 98% of our population is still on earth.  Someone like the asari could afford to lose their homeworld because they have a larger colony system.  We lose earth and we are screwed. Not saying I am not willing to sacrifice earth if that is what it takes to stop the reapers but if earth goes so does humanity.

I could see Earth getting abandoned, in the future with pollution and overpopulation Earth could already be in poor shape and with The Reapers already there, they might have to.

Quarians or Turians (if we have to sacrifice a council race)

The Quarians are not a council race.

I would probably sacrifice the Volus. They don't have too much to offer the galaxy anymore. Even the Hanar have sophisticated combat VIs, can carry vehicle grade weapons on their backs, and are great actors. It would be kind of cool if Xeltan appropriates a ton of combat drones for you if you helped him in ME1.

The asari, no contest. The are the greatest long term threat to human dominance on the galactic stage.

Pffft "human dominance", the best way to ensure our downfall as a species is to ****** off every other species in the galaxy.  Sorry but the cerberus philosophy is a greater threat to humanity than the council races will ever be.

That's a tough question. If it could be any of the races I'd say Elcor, who cares about them. But I assume you mean Salarian, Turian, Krogan, Asari, Human and possibly Batarian. If Batarian was included I'd say them, if not it would be Krogan, they are dying anyways.

I seriously doubt the Reapers would be targeting the Quarians. They would go after the major threats first: humans, asari, turians, salarians, krogan, batarians, geth. The volus and elcor would be pretty lightweight threats and the quarians would be insignificant.

All it will take is one Reaper ship to jump into the middle of the Migrant Fleet and they are done for. Just find the system where the fleet is and camp the mass relay. The Quarians can't take down a Reaper, so they'll have to FTL to another system with a relay. It's highly unlikely all their ships would have enough fuel for FTL travel and if the Reapers just camp at the surrounding relays, the Quarians will just run out of resources and perish.

Also, I could see in a logical point of view Earth being sacrificed if necessary to destroy the Reapers. But plot-wise, I don't really see how the combined fleet of the galaxy's races will destroy Earth when they liberate it. Unless they bombard the planet from orbit, but I'm sure the Reapers would go up into space to fight them.

What I would do is get thousands of unimportant ships, like old transports and just FTL them right into the Reapers on Earth. In the CDN story, the Turian terriorist group FTL'd a frieghter into a Turian city and it was mostly destroyed. A dreadnaught's mass accerlator sends a 20 kilo slug at 1.3% the speed of light and it casuses massive damage. Now image a transport ship which weighs millions of kilos going several times faster than the speed of light.
