Not my suggestion, but a friend of mine's.
In Call of Duty, if you quickly press the aiming button near an enemy(but not directly on them), you can "snap" on to them to quickly shoot them down or aim at body parts for the same effect.
He suggested something similar for ME3. I know how snap on aiming works in CoD but I don't know if its necessary in ME3. Thoughts? I'll let him know what you guys said.

Zoom snap already exists in ME2, it's one of several different types of aim assist that we had.

It also exists on the PC verson of ME2... it's turned down a bit more on PC though, since it's generally a lot easier to aim with the mouse.

There was a setting in the options menu in ME2 for aim assist.

Well if you choose to play on console, I guess this is you're punishment. If you are serious about aiming and all, play on PC.
The experiences are different, just like the controllers are different. If you were playing with a controller on the PC, you'd probably want to take advantage of the aim assist settings. The goal of all of these settings is to make the experience feel good regardless of platform.
Different settings are required for different types of interfaces... That's just a simple fact. I don't see how that reflects poorly on any platform.
