A high defense (dexterity) tank with a good set of armor can be hard to kill. You don't have to be a ranged warden to finish the game with no injuries. It would definitely be a good idea to have Wynne along for healing and have her use force field on an ally below 50% or 25% health, or be prepared to use a health poultice if needed. Don't always wait on Wynne to throw a heal your way.

Just be prepared to reload if your character dies. If you have to reload often in a certain area, hopefully you are learning from your mistakes and gradually make progress until you stop dying.

Getting through the game with no deaths isn't too hard, as long as you aren't too wreckless. If you are in a particular area with tough enemies ahead, try going slow and lure enemies away so you don't fight a whole crowd at once. Using the "hold" command helps here. It also helps to be prepared for anything. Try to always have some health poultices on hand, and it's not a bad idea to have both a templar and mage with the dispel magic ability, in case the mage is the one that gets hit with crushing prison/curse of mortality, etc. Also, don't let the tank get so far ahead of the rest of the group, in case if a mage or rogue gets grabbed and the tank is too far away to use shield bash or another stun ability in time to save their companion.

One good candidate class to stay till the end of the game and not fall any time in the battle is Arcane Warrior. They are very durable, high-magic resistance, high-physical resistance, high damage. If we build them as the hybrid, they are simply unstoppable!!!

Arcane warriors are defintely good survivors. A dual wielding arcane warrior is quite the beast and a great solo'er.

Arcane Warriors are almost invulnerable once they have shimmering shield but you have to make it to level 14.
