1. I was wondering if the robotic dog from the collector’s edition would attack enemies? Maybe he could be summoned like the mabari from DA2?

2. I was also thinking they could do an animation like soundwave off the old transformers series.  Shep could throw out a cassest looking device which morphs into the robot dog, which then proceeds to do a mabari style tackle on the nearest enemy, thereby knocking them to the ground.

3. Also not really related, but what’s the story behind James Vega?

Probably not. They're for keeping you company now that Kelly's gone. (wink wink)

And you saw the FENRIS mechs in ME2. They sucked!

Vega is a young, naive dudebro. An amalgamation of ME1 Liara and a typical human marine?

Yeah, regarding your first thought, I actually tweeted that same question about the Mech-dog being like the Mabari hound in DA2 during the last Casey Hudson interview but got no reply... instead they opted to answer the "Specs...Specs...Specs..." question. It would've been good to know. I would've appreciated that info a lot more (as a "lesser" form of spoiler) than finding out the fate of the boy from the grating.
