I was looking through some codex entries regarding the second blight and something odd popped into my head. The blight was ended by the joint forces of Orlais and Tevinter, meaning they likely had to conduct meetings on Orlesian soil, between the Archons and the Emperor. So I wondered how the templars didn't attempt to arrest the Archons as they are mages outside of the circle.

The best I could come up with was that the Archons went around with pieces of paper shouting, "Diplomatic Immunity!" right before Danny Glover shoots one of them in the head with a crossbow bolt proclaiming "It's just been revoked!"
