I always hoped her resources would aid Shepard against the reapers. Maybe if you helped her out a lot in ME2 she'd return the favor. But this is very unlikely and would go against her character...but hopefully she's in it.
Well, she did say, "Shepard you've been quite a help. Allow me to return the favor" or something along those lines and she gave you coordinates to a cache of supplies out in a remote planet. I scored several thousand creds from that mini-mission so it was alright I guess. Still, Aria was helpful and I'm sure she would help even more this time around considering the stakes, but I heard that TIM needed more militia so he hired Aria to back him up.. not sure if that's true, but if it is true.. then ugh..

personally with the help I've given her and She and the Patriach owns me I hope I will not be forced to kill her. Still we are recruiting entire nations not individuals. So unless her actions will represent the loyalty of the blue, suns, eclipse and blood pack to join you her role is going to be very slim in ME:3

Aria is now working for Cerberus I'm afraid So I'm guessing she will be a enemy. It's all in the book retribution but it has short summary on the ME wiki page: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Aria_T'Loak

She made a deal with TIM. She's not working for Cerberus last time I checked.

If she's working with TIM in ME3 that's going to blow up in her face and I don't see her sticking around too long if she figures out what's going on, she's not stupid and she knows she can't trust Cerberus.
I got the feeling in ME2 that she would have an important role in ME3 in any case, I hope so.

I read it and I have it right here as matter of fact. A "mutually beneficial agreement" is different from "working for Cerberus" in my book. I suggest you read the book UNTIL the end and not stop midway.

Acting like she's big and tough with her 4 armed guards after I've killed thousands of men, many with my bare hands. Ex-strippers who "run" (sit around in) the space equivalent of Detroit do not intimidate me.

I'll be gutted if that isn't followed up on.

You do realize that she's almost 1000 years old and defeated Patriarch, who was the defacto Ruler of Omega right? I doubt she needs bodyguards at all; She probably prefers to only get her hands dirty when she really has to.

Actually I've read the book, and finished it almost a year ago. I never suggested she worked for Cerberus. Just made a statement, I'm well aware of the lore of the ME Universe.
If you say so...

This is the reason I want to see her. You know she can kick all kinds of butt.

It's obvious that the writers love her, not so obvious what would make her even remotely important or intimidating to my Shepard in ME2.

Because she was able to live for almost a 1000 years, if not more, be the defacto ruler of Omega and owning Patriach as well as every other sad sucker in her way, while you got your ass kicked by the Collectors and needed Cerberus to bring you back to life.
Simply I'd say.

Shepard has taken on bigger and badder sh**.
If those two walked into a room, one will walk out, and I believe it wouldn't be an asari with a purple complextion.
