Think Liara, AKA Shadow Broker might have some information on this?

Shepard: Aria... I think  you'll want to see this video.
Aria: Where'd you get it?
Shepard: From the Shadow Broker.. said you might be interested in it

*Next scene shows Aria watching the vid, flying into a rage and ordering her men to hunt down TIM and anyone working for Cerberus*

Aria-"Shepard. You still going after The Illusive Man?"

Shepard-"The Reapers are my number one priority. But Cerberus is helping them, and that means The Illusive Man is, too. So yeah, I'd say I'm still after him."

Aria-"Count me in. Because Cerberus just broke the only rule of Omega."

Shepard- "Don't-"

Aria-"F*ck with Aria."

*New Squadmate- Aria T'Loak*

Of course, with Liara already on our team, its pretty much a guarantee that no other asari will be permanent squaddies, but at least for a temporary squaddie, it'd be nice. And if not that, an NPC that KICKS MAJOR AMOUNTS OF ASS.

I hope that we see Aria make an appearance and I wouldn't mind returning to Omega again. She seemed like a fairly important character. What do you guys think?

Fairly important how, OP?!  She's in charge of some thugs on a space station. That's it. Yeah, she may get info from the comings and goings at Omega/After Life, but c'mon when you compare that to what you can get from the Shadow Broker's base, now that it's in Shepard's hands, is irrelevant.

Seems like some ppl dislike characters that don't bow down and kiss Shepard's feet.

She's incredibly important because she effectively runs OMEGA.

THE TERMINUS SYSTEMS' VERSION OF THE CITADEL.

She's basically a more badass version of The Council.

She's VITAL to uniting the Terminus Systems' to take down the Reapers. We need ALL the help we can get.

And with all the little hints that Aria is in fact Aleena(Wrex's old asari commando mercenary friend that he spoke of in ME1), there's unresolved plot threads just dangling there.

Then you have the fact that in Mass Effect Retribution, Kai Leng(one of TIM's most trusted Cerberus agents and someone we'll see in ME3) killed Aria's daughter and had the blame put on Paul Grayson.

Speaking of The Shadow Broker, if Liara has any proof that Kai Leng did it, she can get Aria to join our cause and have a massive backer in the fight against Cerberus and The Reapers.

So yeah, she's important.

Shepard was never hunting down TIM. As far as I know, Cerberus probably never knew of Commander Shepard in ME1 until you and R.A. Kahoku stumbled across Cerberus and their dirty little experiments.

"Was" is the keyword. Since Cerberus is helping the big baddies in ME3, you'd think that hunting TIM down might be a good idea.

Is that speculation on your part or confirmed fact?  Because I've been hearing people say TIM is indoctrinated and so are his operatives, scientists, etc.

I don't see how anyone who hates any race that nots humanity, spends six billion credits to revive Shepard, more to rebuild the Normandy, spend "x" amount of money on dossiers, install a top-of-the-line AI, etc just to hunt down Shepard in ME3.

Obviously TIM is going after Shepard, but working with the baddies?  I don't know...

Shepard wouldn't facepalm. Shepard LOVES the "Name?" "Name?" back and forth's.

Shepard-"Aria."

Aria-"Shepard."

Shepard-"Wrex."

Wrex-"Ari......Aleena."

Aria-"Wrex?"

Wrex-"Aleena?"

Aria-"WREX!"

Wrex-"ALEENA!"

*Aleena and Wrex hug*

Shepard-"Uhh, I'll just be going."

Wrex-"C'mere, you!"

Shepard-"Aww okay."

*Group Hug*

I don't like Shepard having to bow down and kiss characters feet for no reason.

Considering how gratuitously rude Shepard can be to the rulers of the galaxy, the toadying towards some arrogant criminal boss of a backwater pisshole is jarring.

When you consider the fact that Shepard can easily be murdered by Aria and her underlings if he pisses her off, its quite understandable that he backs down.

the difference is, those rulers of the galaxy don't have free reign to kill whoever pisses them off.

Yeah, Shepard can easily be killed by Aria if she wanted him/her to die in Afterlife. With all those guns pointed him/her from all sides.

Aria is cool but i wouldn't have thought omega is still there anymore, since if i was the reapers i'd send atleast one ship to work out what happened to the collector base thats beyond the omega 4 relay.

A pissed off Aria since her home's just been destroyed would be a nice addition to the team

And the council can't revoke your spectrer status and send specters after you?  Or the countless other situatiosn where you were surrounded by guns and still didn't back down?  This situation is no different and it is just lame that you don't have any real renegade responses, even if it does trigger a fight or a later ambush.

Point is simple. Shepard isn't stupid.

Aria can be made an ally or foe. If foe, she can easily kill Shepard right then and there and likely, The Reapers win because Shepard is dead.

If ally, she can aid him for his recruiting efforts on Omega and later on become a major player in the fight against The Reapers.

If Shepard is a strategist, he'd be her ally.

If you read Mass Effect: Retribution, she forms an alliance with the Illusive Man

My guess is that she joins with him and makes her Mercs fight you in ME3

That "alliance" is between two people who are not very trusting of the other.

On top of that, one is keeping the truth from the other because he knows she can kick his ass and will if she finds out how her daughter REALLY died.

Not if Cerberus use their new biotic nerfing drugs- omega-enkaphalin. A few doses of that and Aria would be at Kai Leng's mercy. And I doubt Kai Leng has much of that.

She is likely to return IMO. However, if she is in ME3, she will have a minor role.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

However, I'm wondering if the Terminus Systems united under Aria would be considered an ally for you to recruit in ME3 against the Reapers. Just musing here. Maybe if you have Zaeed or Kasumi that also gives them an "in" into ME3 where they become temp squaddies to gain Aria/Terminus' "loyalty."

What we have here is a great opportunity to recruit an Asari who is essentially Trinity + Merovingian with the raw power of Magus from Chrono Trigger. It can even be done in the same way where at first they are at reach other's throats but join up when the true villain reveals itself.

I absolutely adore Aria's character. The few moments of screen time made hell of an impression. Nice to see an uber confident AND uber competent character for once. I don't even mind her god complex since she's kind of earned it and the fact that Kai Leng killed her daughter and will be appearing in Mass Effect 3 really increases Aria's chance of playing an important role.

I imagine a boss fight in Omega/Afterlife against Kai Leng after which we see Aria soften for like a second remembering her daughter before returning to her stone cold demeanor. Sounds a bit like Samara + Jack though. No romance however, Wrex calls dibs.

Also, her combat taunt could be, "Dodge This!"
