I have a save from Awakenings (I imported my save from Origins into Awakenings), but when I try to import it into DA2 it tells me no DAO save data can be found. I don't have my DAO save on my PS3, but I do have the Awakenings save. Is that not sufficient? My previous PS3 died, and the backup I restored from on my new PS3 did not include my DAO save - just the Awakenings one.

Are you sure both your awakening copy, and DA2 are from the same region ?. Saves are region locked means that your DA:O/DA:A and DA2 must have the same region code or you cannot import your save from first to second.
