I don't believe there should be though.
Fortunately if it's DLC - i won't need to worry about it.
So good on them for NOT making the Prothean a part of the game, unless you choose it to be. If you want one, you'll get them - if you don't - no problemo!
Good call BioWare.

I do find it entertaining that the only one that will be able to understand the Prothean (assuming it only knows its native language) is Shepard and possibly Liara.
Well, not necessarily. Their language should be understood, at least in a written form. Otherwise how would all the current species be able to understand and utilize their technology? What about all humanity's advancements in medicine as a result of interpreting Prothean studies of ancient humans, which were discovered on Mars?
Shepard's interaction with the beacon is different. It was 'coded' in such a way that only Prothean minds were supposed to be able to interpret it--it wasn't just language and images, it was like a direct brain-dump or something.

Take into consideration that they said the same thing about Kasumi, arrival, etc. Don't jump to conclusions, which is a big problem here it seems, just wait and see... What I am tired of IS YOUR KIND OF THREADS op, jeeze no one wants to here you qq all over the forums.

I'm getting sick of seeing posts about this. It was a feature that apparently was removed or decided against at some point, and it mistakenly appeared as a feature in the Collector's Edition. Someone had to say it. Bioware staff have dismissed its existence and while I'm too lazy to go dig through their posts to find where they have said "There is no Prothean," TRUST ME, it has been said.
I dont believe you.

you realize they said the same thing about kasumi right?

and a bunch of other things that all turned out to be true lol...
I would also believe that BW has better sense than to pull something just so incredibly cliche like this.
Everything they do is a cliche wrapped in a bigger cliche, why is this somehow off the reservation.

People really think there is a 50,000 year-old Prothean? I highly doubt it unless they were on one of those stasis pods, but even those Protheans died.
They died due to their energy supply running out. Not a problem on the Citadel itself

Gotta play the mission to find out.

The photo of the containment sphere and the mention of a mission called "The Prothean" leads me to believe there may very well be an ancient Prothean locked away somewhere, miraculously surviving into current times.

LMAO, forgot about this
It's in my permanent netflix instant queue. I get Buck, Twiki and Wilma whenever I want. I'd love for them to come out with a remake.

I really hope there isn't one I really don't want one its so dumb if the DLC character for preorders was a prothean I wouldn't preorder based on that its that ridiculous to me.
I don't understand how anybody can find this to be ridiculous. It would be one of the more plausible things to happen in the ME universe. If Shepard can come back to life using the tech they have now, then I have every reason to believe that a Prothean who was way more advanced was able to create a hibernation pod of some sort just like on Ilos and use the Citadel's nearly unlimited energy to sustain it.

I wouldn't consider myself a pessimist, but you can dig through my posting history and decide for yourself. But I am a skeptic of certain things - there's a difference.

True, but don't forget the Protheans allready had their working hibernation pods (they used them whill hiding from the reapers). They could have brought them with them with no greater difficulty then getting to the relay itself and reprogramming the keepers. In fact you have to admit it would make more sense this way.

And yet too many people still believe this Prothean exists.
You mean when Chris Priestly said "it was an error"? Do you know how many times in the past he's said things "aren't true" that turned out true? Lol, evil Chris purposely supplies misinformation.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was real and they took it down and got Chris dismissing it now. We'll see.
