The only way I can see this DLC not existing is if the Prothean squadmate was put into the main game, which would be AWESOME.

Otherwise, this DLC will exist.

Oh, you must be one of those people who think retcon means "something I don't like that's canon".

And people forget that there is vastly unexplored parts of the Galaxy where a bunch of Protheans could be in Stasis during this invasion 

I just dont think the character will be dlc but is added to the main game because his important in a way to help us stop the Reapers.

I dont find it farfetch that we use some ancient plan that the Protheans Originally schemed up to stop the Reapers or Prothean data that shows a sweet spot to hit them at. Something they discovered when it was already too late, like with the Keeper thing they did.

I think there might be a Prothean still alive through stasis but has also mind-linked with a VI (like Vigil) in order to retain some form of consciousness and is able to communicate still.

It might also explain the Overlord-like image from the new screenshots.

People also forget that there are still unexplored portions of the Citadel, which ironically is where the Prothean team that used the Conduit travelled to.

Who's to say that in those unexplored regions there's not a stasis pod right next to whatever it is that allows the Keepers to maintain a stable number?

I prefer the Protheans to be remain an extinct species. They represent the doom that faces humanity and the Council species if they fail to stop the Reapers, and it cheapens the Reapers as opponents if we find out the last species they supposedly wiped out, is still alive.

Any 'help' from the Protheans should come in the forum of salvageable tech, or in VIs like Vigil.

There is one Prothean left. Unfortunately it's under about 50 feet of ice at the south pole, in a stasis pod, and unfortunately surrounded by hundreds of these pods that have bluish haze hovering over the top of them. Good luck getting to it. There's a xenomorph involved.

Well, however cliche you claim it to be, everything is cliche in this day and age. Super powerful race that threatens all life in the galaxy? That has been done before. To name one, the Borg from Star Trek. Anyway, if there is a Prothean character, I only ask that it is done well.

I still think there will be a Prothean squadmate. "Evil" Chris Priestly is the one who dismissed it, and everyone here should know by now he's the last guy you should be believing on stuff about ME.

There's been plenty of times where he's spread misinformation to confuse people. Even things that were in the previous games he said weren't there. Don't ask me for links, I don't really keep a record of all his posts, but I've read them, trust me.

Haha Oh Marshy, do you ever get tired of being an a**hole?  That necro post was classic.  I certainly got a kick out of it when I rushed back into this thread to see what was so amazingly important that a 3 month old thread was rez'ed.  And obviously you did too, admit it.
