My Shepard is a smartass. Extremely sarcastic. She's a flaming, very experienced lesbian. She's also a force of nature, unshakable, unstoppable, and the only hope we have of not dying a horrifying death to the reaper hordes.

Jay Shepard - Infiltrator

Growing up on the streets of Earth, Jay learned to look out for himself, and became accustomed to not trusting people he doesn't know well. Even among the Reds, who was considered family, he kept to himself most of the time.

That changed when he joined the Alliance, and had a unit of his own. He was now responsible for all of their lives, which gave him a purpose. However, that happiness didn't last long. Seeing all of his men die on Akuze finally made him realize what it's like to lose something important to him.

From going to not having anything to losing everything, Jay's been through a lot. He rarely discusses anything about himself simply because he doesn't believe his past life is worth mentioning. Instead, he focuses on his squad, trying to help them with their problems. He doesn't want them to feel what he went through.

He's mostly Renegon, a little more Renegade than Paragon. Major choices were Paragon and most of the minor ones, like the loyalty missions, were Renegade.

After the pain he endured between growing up and losing his unit on Akuze, not to mention losing another friend, Kaidan, on Virmire, you can't blame him for being violent and cruel at times. He's quick to threaten when he's impatient or confronting an enemy, or even kills someone if he thinks they caused enough damage.

His best friend is Garrus, who shares his beliefs and skills, and has never turned his back on him. He's lost his trust in Ashley, his supposed LI, after the events of Horizon. Disgusted, Jay found a new love in Tali, who he realizes has been by his side since the beginning.

Now with the Reaper threat approaching Earth, his home, Jay readies himself to fight with all of his power to give others the chance of living a fulfilling life.

(I'll edit this with a pic in a while.)

Paragon Shep is a wuxia - nice to all and always gives everyone one chance, but will be perfectly fine with ending disputes via violence. Ends up having to tap into inner Renegade for some decisions that being a wuxia just doesn't cover. Saved the rachni, saved the DA, saved all the colonists, rewrote geth, blew up Collector base.

Renegade Shep is reasonable - rough edges but not purposefully malicious. Nice to crew and sees no point in burning bridges, but will engage in occasional schadenfreude that results in death (up and at 'em, you biotic god, you). Colonist background, so will kill all batarians (because eff batarians). Keeps all things that could be an asset to the future fight against Reapers. Saved DA, saved rachni, saved all but 1 colonist who got in between her and a thorian creeper, rewrote geth, saved Collector base. Sacrificed hostages to nail Balak (shot him unto woundage, then let the Alliance arrest him).

Both got everyone alive through the Suicide Mission.

In Mass Effect 1, I made my Shep a renegade and all that mattered was getting the job done. However, he did not discriminate aliens and he even went as far as to save the council (costing human lives). In Mass Effect 2, after receiving a second chance at life, Shep realizes that some of his ruthless methods in the past have caused great pain and suffering to the people around him. He regrets doing the things he did and with his second life, he makes it his goal to atone for his "sins." He is still a renegade when it deems necessary, but he makes sure to think before he acts. He realizes that his name represents humanity as a whole, so he makes sure that the alien races will look at humans with respect.

On a side note, I wish the decisions throughout the ME series weren't so absolute. I understand that the charm/intimidate mechanic allows you to branch off the "normal" paragon/renegade choices, but I still feel a little restricted at times.
For example, take tali's loyalty mission. You can use charm to divert the discussion to the infighting, completely leaving out the data which will put the blame on tali's father. What I would've wanted was something like "I'll tell the truth about the data and tali's father, but I still think that there is some issue with your politics and so you should drop the charges on tali." blah blah.

Probably gonna get TL;DRs but I just wanted to voice this somewhere.

I modeled my Cannon Manshep after Captain America

Brave, Courageous, He Holds No prejudice in his heart [except for the reapers], He IS a Artist at heart , who will take a bullet for a Comrade, and Will go to any length to save lives, HE Is a Simple Soldier Nothing more but despite this His Complete lack of fear is What puts him above his Biotic and Tech Gifted Associates

But don't mistake his Kindness for weakness, cause he will **** you up! Despite him being Primarily a paragon My Shep Hits All most all the Renegade Reactions

Light A Krogan On fire? Check
Snap a Mercs neck? Check
Threaten To Break Your Knees? Check

He Doesn't Play around when He See's you as an enemy, and wont hesitate to deal out justice as he see's fit. He has No Time For Racism or Greed and Reacts Violently to ether,

He Comes From a Long Line Of Soldiers and will do that Legacy honor, By being a Paragon of Humanity, and Wont Stop Till Every Race In the Galaxy learns to play nicely with each other

P.S He is 2 for 2 when it Comes to Popping Hot Alien Cherries, Lets Make it 3 for 3 eh Bioware? ^_^

My Shepards run the gamut—literally. At one end of the spectrum is Devon Shepard, my choirboy paragon Vanguard. He's a sweetheart, a good, kind soul, who just happens to be really good at putting the hurt on the bad guys. He's the kind of guy every girl wants to take home to Mom, and he's dedicated to Liara 4 Life. Let there be little blue babies! Devon
—————————

At the other end of BioWare's Range-O-Options, we have Ashley Shepard, a psychotic kill-happy nutjob Soldier. Ashley Shepard is a crazy b¡tch, and I wouldn't want to run into her in a dark alley, or on an uncharted world. Or in a krogan breeding facility run by a rogue Spectre. In fact, if I knew Ashley Shepard was in the same star cluster, I'd probably hightail it for another one. Where Ashley Shepard goes, Trouble follows. And Trouble brings along her pals Death and More Death.:blink::o Ashley
—————————
Then there's my other four Shepards, who fall between those two extremes.
Simone Shepard is a great gal, an amazing Adept, and a true-blue Liara woman. She doesn't stand on ceremony or rules, but she gets the job done. I'd hang with Simone. :wizard: Simone
—————————
Martín Shepard is a pretty solid guy, if somewhat reserved. He's my Sentinel, and he's so far been romance-free. The right man just hasn't come along. Truth be told, I probably wouldn't be drawn to him in real life, because he reveals so little about himself, and doesn't exactly draw people out either. Martín
—————————
Leah Shepard, an Engineer who briefly romanced Kaidan Alenko (I guess Horizon means It's Over), is a complete robot. She's analytical to the point of being a complete dunderhead, and she would bore me to death if I knew her. -_- Leah
—————————
Ethan Shepard is my Ladies' Man Infiltrator, and he's on a mission to Hit That with every woman he sees (alien women are kinda gross though). Since I'm human, alive, and female, he'd probably hit on me, and he would Talk To The Hand. He's a grade-A toolbag. <_< Ethan

Also have more than one Shepard, (it's that kind of game) and I don't really have a cannon Shepard.  Most of them are close to paragon, one or two more gray and I do not have any renegade.  Even my earth born Shepard had people in his life that tried to help him.

Carra is the one I'll bring over first.  Colonist and war hero.  She had a great childhood her parents had a farm, her grandparents were down the road.  She was an only child and loved her family.  She had 4 close friends.  She spent summers helping around the farm, and after work she would ride, the equivelent of a horse, with her friends to the creek for some fun, or go Sovereigninto town where they would go dancing at the local hangout.  The town had a landing shuttle area and all of the convenients that goes with it.

When the slavers came she was at the creek with her boyfriend.  He died trying to give her time to get away,  She killed the slaver with biotic power she didn't know she had.  She managed to hide until help arrived.  Her family, friends, were all killed.  She vowed to do her best to see this didn't happen to someone else's family.  She joined the military where she learned to control her power and she does her best to do what she feels is right, though she does have a sarcastic sense of humor.

She liked Kaidan the first time they talked, but he was her first Lieutenant.  Leaving Ash on Virmire was hard and she spent many sleepless nights trying to figure out if it had been because of her growing feelings for Kaidan.  She eventually realized it had been the right choice regardless and while she hopes she never has to make a decision like that again, she knows it's part of the job.  Her relationship with Kaidan continued to grow until on the trip to Ilos they decided to take it to the next step, after all, she was a spectre no longer under the allliance controle and as Kaidan said they would probably be tried for stealing the Normandy and what's one more strike against them.  After they took down Saren and Sovereign they spent a week relaxing and made plans for the future, including visiting Kaidan's family.

Then she came to in a med bay and was under attack by who knows what and Jacob told her she was on a cerberus facility, she was concerned but more interested in just getting way and then finding out answers.  She was shocked to find out it had been 2 years and everyone thought she was dead.  She agreed to worked with cerberus but her first stop was to see Anderson and to find out news about Kaidan.

When she got Garrus on her team she knew he would watch her back and things might be ok.   When she saw Kaidan, she was a bit pissed at Anderson because apparently he hadn't passed on her visit where she had asked about Kaidan to him.  She was upset that Kaidan wouldn't listen, but understood his concern.  She was also concerned, but when she got his e-mail she immediately e-mailed him back and said they would talk when this mission was over and she loved him too.

She told Hacket she would go to the trial after the collectors had been taken care of.  She never thought her team would not return from the main mission, that would be defeat before the battle began, though sadly not everyone returned.

Looking forward to seeing how the story ends.
edit - put in space between paragraphs.  Hate trying to read one long massive post.:)

Chase Shepard (been through a few names, have settled on this).

His personal philosophy is 'Always with Integrity'....A serious man, a little too serious really, he has no interest in fanfare or the lime light, he just wants to get done what needs to be done. A compassionate man, though he knows where to draw the line, there is a war going on and he will fight when diplomacy is no longer an option... as an Infiltrator he has placed a great deal of training into perfecting his sniping head shots, would rather kill with mercy, no matter who his opponent....Once in awhile his temper does get the better of him, especially when an impending fight is evident, though he can not bring himself to back stab or hit an unarmed civilian....snapping the neck of a warbling moron, or shooting gas tanks under another warbling moron are just actions begging to happen.....All paragon with a small dose of renegade.

As for his War Hero status, he doesn't really think about it, he did what needed to be done, that is all.

As a man with no family, his early life spent on the streets, he finds it easy to empathize with another and will listen to those who need to speak....his been there himself.

Garrus has his deep respect, a bromance....when something is Chase's mind Garrus is his go to....if he just feels like a moments breather, Garrus is his go to.....He trusts Garrus without question.

He would like to find love...he respects Kasumi's love for Keji...but she compels him and if he continues popping by with the excuse of wanting a drink, he may end up with something of a drinking problem....Her personality, sense of fun and irreverence, her love of art and literature...he just enjoys listening to her speak, she makes him feel like everything will be alright....In the mean time though, he does have a little trouble keeping it in his pants...Shai'ira, renegading Jack in the hold, watching Kelly dance.

My Shep having suffered through both his young days as a colonist and the disaster on Akuze has some issues dealing with loss and death. This in many ways leads to his unbreaking paragon idealism. He has little appreciation for things that are morally unjust and ,although he looks out for those closer to him he also tends put his own moral standings before their needs.

He forms close relationships with pretty much all those around him, and tries his best to find the peaceful solution.

He also is easily won over by women. Ashley romanced him in the first game, and broke his hear at Horizon. Tali was there and he fell to her more or less on the rebound.

My Shepard is a woman that grew up in a colony on Mindoir. She later became known as the lone survivor after a mission that went terribly wrong while in the Alliance. She has her heart in the right place and always try to do her best in every situation. She values her friends and crew greatly. She will do all that is in her power to defeat the Reapers and bring peace to the galaxy together with her allies.
