No. Legion's dying words ("No carrier, no carrier, no carrier") means he can't upload himself to the geth network, the only result of which is that the entity that is Legion ceases to exist there and then.

Yeah, you are right with that, he can't upload a back up during the SM, but before the SM he could have upload some back ups. We don't know how many backups Legion could have uploaded during the game. That's why i said he could came back with no memories of the suicide mision.

Maybe, though I would have thought it would sound less panicked with the "no carrier" thing, if it had such recent back-ups. Unless I'm reading too much into the tone of voice of a robot.

I must give my support to Legion here, especially considering the fact that you recruit him late in the game. I hope ME3 doesn't have any characters that are recruited late in the game and the only use you get out of them are for N7 assignments.

I hope Legion is permanent. He's not the best character, but I loved his loyalty mission and would love to do more missions with him.

I really like legion. Something others tried to make you hate turned out to be good and rather... I knew I was right in ME1 for not jumping on the hater-bandwagon! And c'mon, what better things does he have to do than follow me everywhere? His interactions with prejudice/ unknowing organics could be quiiiiited interesting... "Oh my god! It's a freakin' geth! Ahhhhaaregadakakg-fml!" *dock worker runs away screaming*

Interesting idea for ME3.

I think at some point in the game, the Reapers turn all Geth rogue and unleash a virus. While Legion is being infected, Shepard destroys the com-buoy on their left shoulder to stop them from being infected.

Legion better be permemeant in the next game though, I find his words thought provoking. "Treating one group the same as another is racism." I hadn't heard that argument before and it makes sense to me.

Did he really say that? When? I don't remember that. But I agree. I kind of say that too in regards to species of animals. "You shouldn't treat a dog like a human. You should treat a dog the way a dog deserves to be treated. As it's own species. It makes them more stable because they are dogs, and only know how to be a dogs. It confuses them when you try to treat them by other species standards."

Apparently, some people think that statement means you don't treat dogs with respect. Maybe even view them as lower or something. That isn't so. In fact, it means you have more respect for their species because you are trying to understand them. Great to think about.

I love Legion!

PS: Please don't hate me for saying this. The last time I said I treat dogs as their species, people thought I was cruel/hated dogs/thought of them as lower etc and had a go at me. Which is actually the total opposite of how I think of dogs. I love them.

Supposedly, geth are pure software. They consist entirely of programs, unlike AIs, which require a bluebox. So theoretically, I think so.

If Legion dies as 2nd Squad Leader, they'll say there's no carrier.


So if that is you're question, then no. Legion can't come back if they died in ME2.
Can't answer if sold to Cerberus or not activated.

Great! That means there's a perfectly realistic way for him to be alive in ME3 even if he 'died' during SM in ME2! That means his chances of being perma-squaddie increace greatly if he's in everyone's game!

Wasn't he referring to a Geth carrier though? They may as well write it that after unsuccesful attempt to find a Geth carrier, he tried to upload himself to the Normandy & EDI allowed it. Or EDI copied him herself right when he 'died' to save him

Yes I support him and hope he is a big influence in ME3 in rallying the Geth to fight against the Reapers. In fact I solely believe the war will be depending upon having the Geth fight against them as they are the only ones in this series which you do not know how many of them there truly are.

 Yes, for the love of god do this.  It's bad enough that he had to be shoehorned into the derlict reaper mission so that we CAN'T have him until after the collector ship mission, don't deny us our favorite Geth this time around.

As much as I want Legion as a permanent squadmate, I know he won't be. For at least a few missions though? Or make him have a huge role in the game? I love that geth and was so disappointed that you could only recruit him at the end of ME2. I purposely didn't do missions until after the suicide mission so I could take him to different places with me. Overall I'm looking forward to see all of the geths role in ME3.

Well Legion is definetly one of my favorite characters from the entire Mass Effect Franchise.And you know i just realized something the other day - that never occured to me before... While watching vids in the Lair of the Shadow Broker.This question came to my mind:

"Hey... Whatever happened to Legion's starship?!"

I saw it while watching a vid of Legion in LOTSB.When he was on the Derelict Reaper.For some reason even though i knew that Legion was looking for Commander Shepard all over the damn galaxy for over two years.It never occured to me, how he got from place to place - mad eh?

Did the ship get destroyed while in proximity to the derelict Reaper? Or is it still out there somewhere?

I've been thinking about Legion's character for a while now and it occurred to me that it's such a peaceful entity, if that makes sense. I can't really explain it, but even though it's a machine, it expresses so much. I understand from it's viewpoint, that it's motives are for the Geth, but it still has this motivation to keep on learning and learning, which fascinates me. I can almost picture a bond that can't be broken between Shepard and Legion, well unless Shepard wants to destroy all Geth, lol. At least for my Shepard, I value Legion as more than an ally, he's a friend.
