This frightens me. A lot of people in other parts of the world may not be able to easily require the CE. I work at EB Games in NZ, and we have yet to announce anything about the ME3 CE. This news makes me worry even more.

He wants you to impulse buy the $80 version of the game.

Yeah, he wants you to preorder ASAP. They love it when they can say, "We've got 5 million preorders already".

Speaking of which, I've already preordered. So there.

But yeah, they're limited. I remember people being PISSED when they found out that ME2 CE's were out of stock.

But at least the ME2 CEs made it to almost all retailers. Those people who waited, well sucks for them. I would be the first one to get my hands on a pre-order if they announce ME3 CE at EB Games, no doubt about it. I don't care if there's only 5 copies for our store, at least give us some. :[

i dont know if its so much an "impulse" buy since most places (especially online) wont charge you til it ships, and that is a long ways away.

But i do believe the "very limited" thing is just talk to get people to order it. From experience, the only people who miss out on CEs are those who wait until last minute, so id be surprised if anyone who wanted one in the next couple of months was unable to get one.

Why not get it elsewhere? Preorder at another retailer online or otherwise if you really want one and can afford it.

I know people before were like, "IT RAN OUT AT THIS RETAILER, I'LL NEVER GET IT"

I'm saying, get it somewhere else if you have to, people. Jeez.

"Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
Seeing as the game isn't out for another 9ish frelling months, I see no need to Fear Mr.Marketing Man and his desire for me to impulse buy the CE.
I will not follow the Dark Side of pre-ordering.

lol, it aint all bad. I never pre-order regular games from Gamestop, i usually just walk in on release day and buy a copy (most of their 'pre-order bonuses" suck anyway).

But yeah, for something like an ME3 CE, i pre-ordered from Amazon. One click, added to cart, guaranteed a copy shipped to me on release day, and not charged a thing until March 6th. One less thing to worry about.

I did say many of us are located in areas in the world where we can't get our hands on it. (It won't ship to us.) I live in NZ now...A stranded little island secluded from everywhere else. (Well, maybe still close enough to Australia and Antarctica) <.< Sigh, wish I still lived in Canada, things would be so much simpler, especially with BioWare stuff. :(

Doesn't EB Games support slapping down money on Pre-Orders without the game officially being announced? I know I've done that a few times in the past and put some money down on a pre-order so when it does get announced they just bump me straight to collectors edition.

Otherwise, the limited number I think would still be available in the next few months. I haven't known of any games where the CE ran out more than month or two before release.

Yes, of course we love doing that, but the CE is NOT on the list, only the normal edition is. Nothing was announced on our B-line about it, either. Maybe it's still too early, but...what Silverman makes it sound like, is that some retailers might not even be getting CE at all because it's so limited. That is the part that worries me.

Yeah, if you can confirm that certain retailers won't be getting it, then I'll just try and make something happen some other way.

Hmm. Well then that is a different kettle of chickens.

If I get a chance  I'll go check with EB Games here (Australia) and see if there is anything different. But I imagine its just because it takes a little while to filter out down to the bricks and mortar stores around the world.

Funny I just preorder my Collector's Edition today. :P

Anyways I wouldn't worry too much, I'm sure they'll have alot more CEs this time around and all they are doing is trying to get tons of preorders so they can make $$$$.

EB Games Australia + NZ are linked together, so I don't imagine they'll have any kind of information either. But who knows, maybe the people will. But thank you for checking it out, anyway. You planning to go to the Expo? Our managers are all going for free, not fair. :P

I can't even preorder my CE because my swedish retailer hasn't added it to their list of upcoming games. They have the regular edition, but not the CE.

I'm pretty sure we'll get the CE down here in little old NZ. :)

My main fear is the release date being pushed out again - I know that sounds ridiculous, but stranger things have happened.  I needed a firm release date to temper my ME3 obsession. :P

You are right, there is no difference. Just the standard edition.

Was thinking about the expo pretty seriously, if only to show support for something like this on the south side of the planet, but in the end I chickened out.  I'm not much of a social person you see, and I'm really short. So I'd be standing alone at the booths doing my rendition of "What about me?"

Oh wow, I didn't even bother checking Mighty Ape, that's awesome. Thank you. I guess that will be my last resort. (Unless they sell out before we get to know if EB Games will be getting any copies.) Then I'll just cry endlessly.

Edit: What price is it on MightyApe, it doesn't seem to have it posted?

"Currently our buying department is still awaiting further details from the vendor in regards to the Collector’s Edition for this title.

Either keep an eye out on our EB Games Facebook and Twitter pages for further updates or stay tuned to our website as once the edition is confirmed it will be available on the website to preorder."

From memory it took about a week or so for the ME2 CE to be available down under after it was announced

Not yet confirmed unfortunately!  I ordered ME2 CE from Mighty Ape way back in the day, I think it was about $140 or something?

I'll probably preorder ME3 through Mighty Ape as well.
