I don't know if I should order from Gamestop, Amazon or EA Origin.

I'm thinking Amazon since I can get "Free Super Saver Shipping", but Origin will most likely have an exclusive item like DA2 had with the Irons belt.

Woah, after reading that, you guys are making me worry. I was originally going to wait till the CE hits retail at EB games, now I'm not so sure. As for it being a marketing 'scheme', reading mixed opinions/experiences here at the moment. But I remember buying a CE for ME2 in retail after a month of its release to buy for a mate's birthday. I do hope it reaches retail, though, not all of us shops on the internet.

Origin will probably have the most pre-order incentives, but I always prefer a physical copy of a game over a digital one. Also, Gamestop usually gets the best non company affiliated preorder bonuses in my opinion.  

And yes, I know Origin ships physical copies as well, but Gamestop's midnight releases are always fun. =p

I just picked up my copy this morning from a retailer. Yoy should act fast however, as the clerk informed me that copies of the CE were dangerously low.

This frightens me. A lot of people in other parts of the world may not be able to easily require the CE. I work at EB Games in NZ, and we have yet to announce anything about the ME3 CE. This news makes me worry even more.

Dont be worried. HALO REACH also had that bull****. Before the game came out BUNGIE said that their "legendary" edition was very limited. I preordered that edition 2 weeks before the game was released. 7 months later i went back to bestbuy, and saw a few halo reach legendary editions in store. There goes my preorder dont fall into this marketing scam.

ME2 CE was actually sold out fast, though. ME3 will too.

Was it? Because I pre-orderd my CE like a month or two before release and I got it. And ME3's release is WAY OFF. Not to mention they'd probably make more for the last installment hype and whatnot.

I'll pre order next month when I get home, along with BF3.

Good thing I don't have to deal with the Origin BS, since I can just pre-order it at the local store. No international shipping fee, so that saves me a pretty buck.

I wanted the Collectors Edition. I ordered it there now, they didn't have it with Play.com nor with Amazon.co.uk .

Only real drawback is that I will have to wait up to three weeks for this product to arrive, since the Royal Mail is such a slow PITA (last time I pre-ordered DA II from the UK, it took them 2,5 weeks to deliver it). It's still a bloody shame it has to be done this way, but alas.

I AM ACTUALLY HESITATING TO RESERVE A CE EDITION FOR ME3 BECAUSE BIOWARE MIGHT RELEASE AN UBER ME3 COLLECTOR'S EDITION AND WE'RE ALL SCREWED. Its true for most games such as Gears 3. Gears 3 CE was revealed before the "EPIC" gears 3 CE.

Wasn't ME2 Collectors Edition "extremely limited" too? Well, they're still selling it in here so I wouldn't be so worried about the ME3 CE not being available for everyone.
