1. Start Dragon Age: Origins, login to your account when the attempt fails, but uncheck the "always log in" box.
2. Exit Dragon Age: Origins immediately.
3. Restart the game, login again, and recheck the "always log in" box.
4. Play a game, whatever, when you exit and restart the game, you should no longer have this error.
Please post here if you have this issue and this works for you, as it worked for me. Might be a potential temporary (or permanent) fix.
Possible fix for failing to auto-login.

Nope, didn't work out.
It works one time, but after quit and reboot the same annoying thing happens.

Happened to me as well. With further plays, I've noticed that if you login once, and quit the game and restart it, it'll randomly log you in successfully. Very weird indeed.
