I don't know why but I have a suspision that Ash/Kaid(victim of Virmire) may not be dead after all in ME3.  Any thoughts?

Anything is possible I assume. Honesly, I hadn't thought of that, so I don't know what to think.

It's just that at one point when they give you your background on Wrex etc. , it says missing in action instead of dead

what possible reason would they have to not go "hey i managed to make it out on my own" ?
kaidan was literally leaning against the nuke when it went off, theres no possible way he'd live.

In my game he wasn't at the nuke.

Not only do I really hope that isn't the case, I also doubt it. It would cheapen the entire decision and while I love both Kaidan and Ashley, one of them needs to stay dead in all my playthroughs.

And that was, like, a nuke, man. Unless you mean "ghost" in the literal sense, I can't really see how they'd go about coming back: even assuming someone would put huge amounts of resources into reviving them a la Shep for whatever reason? There would be no body or even DNA samples to scrape up from the death site, and the original Normandy is toast. I think one would be pretty hard-pressed to find enough workable DNA.

Killing the main character off only to resurrect him two minutes later already was a weak move, especially since it wasn't done for any purpose that couldn't have been done in a more subtle way.

Allowing everyone and their mother to return from the dead, basically becoming a sci-fi version of Pirates, would be the worst design decision the team could possibly make.

i dont think Ash/kaidan would be alive reguardless on acount of the size of the blast, the largest part was the bomb and damage being done and it was highly visable from orbit and then we saw the fall out, even if he did live the amont of radiation would be deadly for him i thinks,it would also cheepen the moment of letting some one die i think as well

I wont waste my money on it if theres a Virmire Zombie -and- Virmire Survivor.
