When the ME2 trailers at E3 came out, I was all - meh. The animation, the combat, the choice etc...and don't get me wrong - ME2 was awesome - but I don't think it lived up to the expectations of interactivity that ME1 set.
ME3 on the other hand - every single one of those trailers I liked. The combat, the skill upgrades, the weapon mods, its all looking pretty damn hot.

What did ME2 did wrong?
It's widely expected by both fans and critics to be baste game of 2010 and superior to ME1.
Hell, that game even broke GOTY awards record.

What did ME2 do wrong? No inventory, choices from ME1 had no tangible effect, inferior story/writing, reduced RPG mechanics, 1 suit of armor, no Wrex as companion, lame new companions, linear level design, crap DLC like visors, the list goes on and on.
Sure it won a ton of awards but so did Modern Warfare 2. I'd rather have a good game than a game with a bunch of meaningless awards and 10/10 scores.

Also notice that ME2 was only made to bridge the gap to ME3 to make this series a trilogy. And they've done so much more than that, so I give them props for keeping this series interesting. DA2 was bad because there was absolutely no core story introduced. It was confusing and awful and the gameplay, quests, and the setting was insultingly repetitive. Does it look that way in ME3? Haha, it's foolish to think that ME3 can end up like DA2 at this point. It's absolutely preposterous to think so.

As did I. I have not, and never will find playing withThermal ClipsAmmo more enjoyable. Nice to know I am not alone!
I also did this, but found that it imbalanced the weapons (especially the sniper rifles, which became uber).
So in the interests of game balance I went back to thermal sh!ts.

If ME2 was only made to for the sake of having a trilogy, it shouldn't have been made at all. I'd much rather just have two solid games than a trilogy with a piece of shovelware in the middle.

The following year after Skyrim broke award records Todd Howard released this statement.
"IT PRINTS MONEY ****!"
He then pulled down his pants and shat on the microphone.
