Hey, I've just recently started playing the game through on normal difficulty & traveled to the Dalish Elves after leaving Lothering. I'm having problems in the forest, keep dying to 3 spirit trees, my main character is a sword & shield warrior, the rest of my party is Alistair, Morrigan + Lelianna. I'm contemplating restarting the game as a Mage, specializing in healing. My party keeps dying, I've set everyones tacticts to if below 25% HP, auto use pot. I'm constantly pausing the game & issueing orders, I do not wish to play the game on easy, I do want some dignity.
So is it worth restarting? Should I rearrange my group? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Worth restarting?

I shamelessly skipped those three pesky trees, hell of a CC fight that is, done right you can spank em though I'm sure (Cone of Cold would do wonders). Also might be worth looking up the Respec mod thread if you think your party could use some adjustment before you restart just for that.

Don't fight them all at once if you have trouble. Lure one out one at a time, have your party on hold to wait for an ambush.

I downloaded the respec mod and made Morrigan into a healer/CC-mage. After that everything became easier...

Hmm, I don't really want to edit the game at the moment, but I'll see how I go.
Could somebody please link me?

So I switched on Easymode & beat the trees, I wandered around the forest & disturbed a tombstone, some skeletons + a revenant appeared, it was amazingly strong on Easy, am I required to kill it or should I skip it?

no not required kill the revnants the ones in the forest give you a set of decent armor but they are tough fights if your low level so you can skip it and come back later when higher level. but they arnt required to move ahead in the story.

The revenants are not required, in fact they're some of the hardest enemies you're going to face. Go back to kill them when you're ready if you want, but you don't need to. They become vastly easier once you figure out how crowd control works.
You don't need the respec mod to make Morrigan a good healer. I've used her as the only mage in the group in one playthrough and she did just fine as healer/crowd control mage without any respeccing business going on. It just takes a bit longer to unlock her full potential as a healer, but good cc is much more important than healing anyway...

If you are having trouble do the Magi Tower next.
Spoiler...
You will find a healer and also allot of permanent attribute points.
Be prepared to spend a bit of time trapped in the tower...

Ok, thanks for the replies guys, I've just finished the elves and am trying to work out what would be the next town for me to take the treaties..
Magi Tower seems the best bet atm.

Only had problems with them the first run through..but that was because I wasn't expecting them and got ambushed lol. Now I kind of sidle up to them one at a time and then freeze the heck out of them while my warriors beat them up.

The Revs are very hard at low level unless you have forcefield and just beat them down at range.
Of course, as with all things in this game they become super easy at end game to the point you can probably kill them in under 15seconds.

The revenants in the Brecilian Forest were really tough for me, especially the one at that Place of Power, primarily because of the equal-leveled mage and all the archers that came with it. I died the first time around, but, if you hunker down in that grotto area, you can hit the mage on the top of the hill with AoE spells

Yup kill mages then archers...let your group work on the other stuff, but get those archers..otherwise you're going to wipe.

Treason wall if you are asking for advice i will offer you some, the caveat is that it is free and worth what you paid for it.
1) you have your auto use pot set too low, i have mine set to 75% for the warriors ans 50% for everybody else.
2) Dump Morrigan, she is useless in just about every respect, and to make her usefull, like making her the healer takes to long. It is easier to go grab Wynne who is the best healer in the game especially if she is set to do nothing but heal. Once you have Wynn set her to heal your tank at 50% and allies at 25% and she will keep the tank standing. I killed the high dragon in Haven at level 11 or 12 and the only ones to survive the fight were me as the tank, and Wynn.
3) Once you have dumped Morrigan and have a compitent healer like Wynne make sure to max out the heal line and the dispell line. Nothing will save your butt like having some of the nastier spells removed even if the tactics will not do it automaticlly pausing dispelling will do the trick.
I hope this helps
