I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, quick search didn't turn up anything relevant.

I'm normally quite lazy at rechecking potential conversations with the "regular" NPC's, however, last night before finishing up I was messing around in the estate and clicked on Bodahn, I was like "O.o"....... never had this before (3 PT's) but as I said I have been pretty lazy in the past and it may or may not have been a convo prior to 1.03.

Act 3, very beginning just after start of the act. (This isn't quote perfect, just the "just" of the convos)
In Hawke estate I clicked on Bodahn and a cut scene conversation started in which he claims that he and Sandal will be moving on when its conveniant for me. As he's getting older he has to look out for Sandals future, I used the option that I would see Sandal alright, Bodahn thanks me but says there is no need as they will be going to Orlais, to the court of the Empress Celiene, she has heard of Sandals enchantment skills and is more than keen to have him in her employ and that's where they will be going when I no longer have need of them.

With Bodahn and Sandal pretty much being anchors in the games so far and Sandals story and part certainly seem to be deepening, is this a hint that our next protagonist will be Orlais bound? what do you guys think?

Also, just after that conversation with Bodahn, I clicked on Sandal, another cut scene convo where Sandal talks of an "Old Lady" with a scary laugh. Bodahn explains that Sandal has been seeing this "old lady" beside his bed at night-time. My money is on Flemeth, no justification for that assumption, I just find it fascinating to imagine that Flemeth is aware of Sandal and his mysterious abilities, again, what do you guys think?

Again, I apologise if this has been discussed previously, I just had a "reealllyyy??" moment and wanted you guys thoughts.

Just something to point out. They have referenced Orlais before. If Loghain becomes a Grey Warden and lives. He tells the player in Awakenings that he has been ordered to Orlais to recruit for there for the Grey Wardens. Of which he finds ironic. We would still have to find out what the main plot would be. Both the Hero of Fereldon and the Champion are missing according to ending of DA2. So maybe it's a new character you will play. Some want to Tevinter. Personally I think Orlais would be more interesting than Tevinter. I'm tired of Blood Mages thanks to DA2.

Cassandra Pentaghast is Nevarran. Supposedly her last name is the royal family of Nevarra but also great dragon hunters in their history. So maybe Nevarra is a place the player may travel to. We do not know yet.

Yes - Orlais will be one of the central points of the next game. As you noted Bodhan said it.

Also, King Alistair mentions Orlais has plans to attack Fereldan again.

And, of course, Lelianna and Seeker Pendregast both work for the Divine Justina V and the center of the Chantry, all based in Val Royuex,

Even if you go back to DAO, Morrigan was headed across the Frostbacks towards Orlais.

I could continue - but I think it's a safe bet a good deal of time will be spent in Orlais in the next game.

Also, Iceyone, regarding Sandal, did you get this in your first conversation w him in Ch 3?

"One day the magic will come back. All of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see"

Hanz keep in mind we cannot really base any conjecture on the epilogue text like Morrigan supposedly in one scenario is in Orlais. In another she is elsewhere. They have openly said that Epilogues are "based on rumors" as in assumptions. Like depending it's a rumor that Leliana was Alistair's misstress while he is King. Things like this. Not a rule for reference in anything. Meanwhile if a npc openly says something themselves? It may hold more water.

"A conjecture is a proposition that is unproven but is thought to be true and has not been disproven."

Hmmm - I know it's just Wikipedia, but I don't see anything in the definition of the word "conjecture" that says I cannot base it on Morrigan's travel heading at the end of Origins.  In fact "conjecture" by its very definition is an "assumption"(your word), so you are kind of pissing into the wind trying to be an internet smart guy and correct me.

And what is this "WE" crap?  "We" cannot really base any conjecture?  Me, Myself, and I can base my conjecture on whatever I like.

It's a conjecture cause what you read in your epilogue was a "rumor" just like if you instead impregnated morrigan she'd be in the frost back mountains and appeared to be with child. They are all rumors and thus not part of the lore...

Edited to basically clarify.

Everything we read in Epilogues is basically just rumors and we cannot base them as fact at all. Infact all you can know for certain is if your character died or not. Of which may not even be recognized in DA2. You will also know for sure that Amaranthine was given to the Grey Wardens which set the stage for Awakenings. But that is it. The rest was to make players feel they accomplished something. But that doesn't stop a character from disappearing. It maybe different with DA2 since it's Varric telling the story. But Morrigan had how many possible endings. Same for Leliana and others. None of Leliana's have rang true...
