And everything we've seen of them gives the impression that Batarians have a higher concentration of extremism.
Again, this is just going off of everything we've seen of Batarians. Sure there may be a few "good ones" but where are they?

yeah but we have cerberus that is so entageled with the allaince since first contact. We took space that they claimed and the council did nothinga s we encroacheddeeper and deeper in to an area they claimed and the council sided with us, this random new species.. it was bound to cause a blood feud, if they had done it to us we would have responded the same way.Sphynx118 wrote...

What about the Geth? They are loved here and many humans died at their hands throughout the games. Rather than eslave humans they just turned them in to this

would that make a difference to all those that died at the citadel, eden prime etc.Mr.House wrote...
The heretic Geth are a very small faction of the real Geth. That is why.
People keep pointing to "colonist Shepard" and his/her backstory but this stuff happened in front of you...

Because Bioware wants us to hate them. I think we've encounter, one, maybe two, reasonable Batarians? And I don't recall meeting anyone who isn't a thug, mercenary, terrorist or a racist. (I may be wrong, my memory is poor at best). I'd really like to get to know them better, that is why we must have a batarian squad mate!

Let's see, depending on the origin of your Shepard, batarians kill everyone you love, put that with slave trade being a big part of there culture, there government is corrupt, they are anti human, they tried to drop a meteor on a human colony. The list can go on. Batarian hate is very justified, they might not be all like that but we have never seen a good batarian.
Well Garrus had a good one on his squad in Omega it seems, however my main Shep is a colonist war hero. So screw em. He doesn't hate them, but if any of them get out of line they will die quickly.

As for Turians, Garrus is a Turian, but he is one of the most likeable characters around, he makes up for Saren, hell, atleast Saren has an atmosphere and charisma about him, what do the foureyes have?

Definitely not, the mages from DA2 were very easy to sympathize with for the reasons of 1.Being unable to change themselves(just like we can't change who we are) and 2.Being oppressed regardless of what they had personally done. Practically every batarian we personally see in ME2 has no redeeming qualities and lets not forget about the human hating government they spawned from. It's very easy to forget that these batarians we see are not a good representation of the average batarian citizen still living in batarian space.(according to the codex) So in a way they are like the mages of DA2 but in that game we are constantly reminded that all mages aren't insane/evil and we ourselves can even be a mage.
