One thing from DA2 I don't want to see in ME3

DA2 Do's:
Do give us a personality for Shepard that changes with dialogue not tied to the wheel
Do give us a female main character that actually looks feminine
Do give us icons to better define the different dialogue choices
Do give us Squad Member interaction

DA2 Dont's:
Don't give us plastic looking hair (although it seems they've already addressed the issue)
Don't give us rehashed areas
Don't give us a game with loads of bugs and glitches

That's all I can think of.

I added two to your list (the bold ones), but otherwise I agree completely. The only real gripes I had with DA2 were the repetetive areas and the glitches. I still have no idea how bugs like that one with Merrill's personal quest got through Q&A.

The only thing that comes to mind when talking about bugs is the (almost) inevitable import bugs for ME3. Only a few features got imported from ME1 --> ME2 and still several things were bugged. Now BioWare claims 'over 1000' variables are getting imported from ME1, ME2 --> ME3, I can't help but wonder how they're going to avoid annoying import bugs this time... Being punished for bad choices you didn't even make would mess up the game really good.

I hate everything about Dragon Age 2, but there would be one thing and one thing only I would like to see in ME3. For beating the game, you should unlock a secret biotic character, and she would be MERILL.

lol poor DA 2 is getting picked on again. It really isn't that bad a game.

It really isn't

The re-used environments and import bugs were annoying, Being stucjk in Kirkwall sucked  and Act 3 felt rushed,

The mobs coming out of nowehre was annyoing because it made the combat 10x harder than Dragon Age Origins but I liked the challenge and got used to it.. I really liked Act 2 and the characters. I liked  the new armor and weapons also

The game was solid but didn't feel like a grand adventure like Origins was. The combat is so much better than Origins that its hard to play Origins again

Waves of enemies. In every single gunfight.

That would depend on how the XP system works in ME3.  If it is like ME1 were every kill gave XP along with opening safes and what not then the more the merrier.  If it set up like ME2, where every mission is a set amount of XP then we don't need wave after wave

I also don't want to see that. But I;d also hate to see pretty much 65% of what was in DA2 in ME3.

Cloak. Presumerably, when enemies appear out of thin air, then the only explanation is they have some invisibility spell or tech.

The one thing I'd not like to see is the characters change. From ME1 to ME2 the characters looked and sounded and acted pretty much the same. Kudos to the ME2 team. From DAO to DA2 though the characters looks changed and they acted differently except for Zevran and Alistair.

I love well done s/s romances and the like, and BioWare is free to make all the LI's bi if they so please, though if they do I hope its better than in DAII where having four bi LI's seemed like a rushed and petty way to shut people up about equal treatment.

The one thing I don't want to see carry over from DA2 to ME3 would have to be the ridiculous makes-no-sense plot points.

I swear, if I get a chance to off Udina, I better not suddenly have to fight Anderson because he went absolutely bat (censored) crazy because he was somehow indoctrinated by a Reaper Artifact.

I actually like fights with many enemies. But only 1-hit killed enemies(aka husks) that i can kill with a single singularity :P But it's true that DA2 was exaggerating. I also want to have unique dialogue options if i'm a biotic like the mage in DA2. That was very awesome.

I know it's the complete opposite of the topic but still....

two thing's I WOULDN'T mind would be class specific cutscenes and other people recognizing what class your character is, these were two things on a VERY SHORT list of things I liked about DA2

Simsaholic, I couldn't agree more.  During LOTSB as an Adept/Vanguard/Sentinel, I was irritated by the fact that during the scene where Shep jumps out the window with Vasir biotic Shep doesn't use a biotic ability to slow her fall (or something) during that scene.  Or in ME when Kaiden talks about Brain Camp, my biotic Shep would have more anectdotal comments to say in his convos (instead of acting like she has no idea about Brain Camp or about the history of biotics, etc.).

But for the most part, I want ME3 to feel like ME, and NOT like DA2.  DA2 burnt me.

EDIT:  Also during Gabby and Ken's fetch quest where Gabby says "you're boring the commander with tech," my bf who loves the engineer/infiltrator class is a little miffed that those 2 would think/assume that engineer Shep wouldn't understand what they are talking about.

To be fair though, we have never seen a human use their biotics to break a fall. The Asari, thus far, are the only race that have been shown to have that skill. It may come from the fact that Asari develop Biotics naturally.

That was in Dragon Age PC as well.  You and three party members against 20 enemies at a time.

I didn't play DA II, but judging by the demo, I felt like I really wouldn't like it.

True, but I remember Kaidan saying when he killed the biotic teacher Vyrnnus he did a "full on biotic kick."  Which is atypical biotic behaviour (i.e. not one of the skills we have in either ME or ME2)

I think a lot of us agree with that statement.

You have my support in this.

Guys, Why don't you start a new thread talking about how Enemy Waves are a terrible idea, and keep DA2 out of the thread, as that belongs to a different forum
