Now as we all know you can import choices from DAO into DA2 that changes codex, dialog and adds/removes quest. It sounds awesome on paper but when put into the game it becomes a nightmare because the DA2 importing is a bug fest. From romance bugs(some which are STILL not fixed) to codex entries not being the proper version. For example, my Dalish elf asked for a land for the Dalish, there was a bug that when checked, it was no land was given, I use the save gen(which causes more import issues but since that
's not from Bioware I won't talk about that) and make a save with all the same choices, a land was given to the Dalish. This is just one of the many bugs, as I'm sure many of you will know, more so the Morrigan, Zev and Leli fans, or how about the infamous A stud of the Fifth Blight: Vol 2, that codex is bugged.
Why must the player suffer and see wrong things because of poor programing or bugs, and wait for a fix or have to deal with it because Bioware can't/will not fix it? Bioware should just let players pick choices at the start of the game when they create there character in DA3 they pick choices from the first two games that add/change stuff in DA3. This means players don't have to worry there choices not oging properly. I understand that the "Import your choices from the last games" might sound good in advertising but when it does not work you just get frustrated gamers.
Bioware should just stop with this import stuff and let gamers choose at the start of the game. *long post*

I wouldn't want to go through dozens or hundreds of variables, making every choice all over again. And importing MY warden feels better than just choosing from a list of options, even if it boils down to the same thing. Without your Warden a list of choices has no meaning.

Importing and having a checklist for a save generator official supported by Bioware should both be options.
Considering what the community has been able to do Bioware could surely do just as well. There is no good reason not to have both and argue against one or the other is just silly.
