I have bin a loyal fan to mass effect franchise from the beginning. I
cant count the number of play though i had with mass effect 1 and two,
but there was always on thing missing making the character look like me.
I tried so hard to make the character look like me but didn't get the
polish and detail and shape i wanted for my character which sucked but
was tolerable. Since the kinect has bin demoed to be used in mass effect
3 i think Bio Ware should utilize the tech to allow our own face to be
mapped to our mass effect characters. What do all of you think?

I remember they did something like this for Rainbow Six Vegas. It would be an awesome idea. I think they should factor in hair and facial hair as well. That would be pro.

If the Kinect took the contours of your face and made it into a start of something you could edit, that would be great!

Even if they can't sort facial scanning they should at least do some work on the character generator add more variety and hair styles etc.
The one thing I notice about every forum member's commander Shepard, they all look pretty much the same, especially the femsheps.
That Batarian bartender was right, "ALL YOU HUMANS LOOK THE SAME"

Yuck. If I play as me, I want it to be an idealized version of me, like my Dragon Age pic, seen here in golden armor.

That looks kinda Bruce Campbell, actually.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Just because the option for facial scanning is there doesn't mean you have to use it. You also don't have to post your scanned face on the forum... you can also not give a damn about what some forum member says about your face.

Seems like this would just distract BioWare from working on real issues with the game. A facial mapper would be a lot of extra work to put in.
I wouldn't be against it if they have the time though.

Rainbow Six: Vegas (1 and 2) supported this feature and I tried it personally. Didn't really like how it turned out, and you couldn't wear any kind of headgear.
