Will we see Garrus' time to shine in ME3?

In ME1 Garrus played a sort of student role to Shepard, learning how to deal with situations from the decisions he/she made. In ME2, Garrus became a leader, but a failed one. One who's entire team died and barely escaped with his life. But in a way he sort of became Shepard's equal, he had his own squad and had leadership qualities as demonstrated in the suicide mission. Now I'm thinking maybe in ME3 we'll see Garrus truly become equals with Shepard (Spectre?), maybe even rise above Shepard. You know the old saying, "the student surpasses the teacher".

What are your thoughts on this? Could this indicate that Garrus' possible death in ME2 will have a significant impact in ME3?

I'd be more worried about Garrus' possible death in ME2 negatively affecting his odds of being given cool storyline bits, but then I think about all the stuff we're seeing Wrex doing and I don't worry as much.

But at the same time, Wreav could justify going for a fertile krogan female just the same; Garrus doesn't have a 'replacement', per se. I'd love to see lots of neat things happen with him, but I do worry to a point that the writers just won't be able to with his potential death.

They did say the story will change drastically, depending on what happened. So anything's possible.

I've been worried about this as well, but since more than half of our confirmed squad right now could have died in the past, I'm trying not to worry.  I mean, there are two VS, depending on the choice, so that's content that's going to get lost either way with one of the characters not being there.  Tali and Garrus, too, but they're both permanent squaddies.  They keep saying you get deeper character relationships, I'm hoping that's true.

I'm looking forward to Garrus. He's my favorite squadmate next to Wrex. Whatever's going on with him in Mass Effect 3 is going to be awesome.

Garrus did a great job leading a squad in the suicide mission for me, I could see him either becoming a spectre, or possibly becoming a part of the alliance (it'd be a nice gesture to aliens on the alliance's part)

Surpass Shepard? No, equal footing MAYBE... but I doubt it.

I wouldn't say he was a student. At all. If anything, Shepard influenced his character, but as a companion not a protege.

Anyways, I'd like another chance for him to be paragon'd or renegaded by Shepard. Always wanted him to snap and go bat**** insane. Always like crazy Garrus the best.

No Garrus will just continue doing his calibration... then he'll be eaten by a Reaper.

As far as we know, Wrex won't be a perma squaddie and we'll probably only see him as far as Salarian homeworld and Tuchanka.

And I'm pretty sure Wreav is dead if Wrex is alive.

Not perse dead... but more likely 'just another Krogan' instead of one of the Krogan leaders.

Isn't Garrus's 'redemption' as a team-leader in the suicide mission if you choose him as a fireteam leader and he's loyal?

I'm not worried about Garrus death in ME2. It's avoidable. If someone's worried, they should reload the game and save him, it's very easy :D

I hope he can achieve something good at last. He deserves it :)
