May I know which DLCs should I buy?
I have the Cerebus Network, Kasumi and Shadow Broker already.
What other DLCs should I buy?
Do I just download and install the DLC?
Many thxs in advance!

If you have cerberus then you also have Zaeed.
The ones worthwhile are
Zaeed
Kasumi
Overlord
LotSB
Arrival (the final ME2 mission)
The rest are all pointless crap that is either overpowered weapons/armor or skins that should have been in the retail version.
(Don't install Arrival until you're ready to play it post-suicide mission)

so only arrival is to do after the post-suicide mission? the rest shd be done b4?
Kasumi and Zaeed, of course, make no sense after the suicide mission. Zaeed's recruitment is practically automatic when you enter Omega and Kasumi when you enter the Citadel.
Overlord doesn't matter when you do it. It might make more sense to do it pre-SM if you plan on ending the main game on a paragon note. Even then it doesn't matter. It's just a line of dialog at the end of Overlord if you make the paragon choice.
If I romance Liara I do LotSB before the suicide mission as her romance can continue in ME2 and, imo, her comments on the Normandy make more sense in the context that Shepard is going on a suicide mission. And his looking at her picture before the relay has more meaning. Where Ashley/Kaidan's picture continues to make no sense as technically you aren't in a relationship with them anymore. If I didn't romance Liara I do it afterwards. But it really doesn't matter,
Only Arrival has a sense of closure. I go to the main menu and run the credits after I beat it

will any of these decisions carried over to ME3?
Zaeed: Yes and Maybe. His presense in ME3 and (maybe the) decision midway thru the DLC.
Kasumi: Yes. Her presense in ME3 and decison at end of DLC.
Overlord: Yes, it may effect the geth resolution.
LotSB: Yes, but not the overall ME storyline as It is canon and happens rather you play it or not. It will effect how Liara behaves toward Shepard.
Arrival: No. Maybe some dialog differences (more detailed dialog), but there is nothing that takes place that offers a choice. It's canon.

The best DLC by far is Lair of the Shadow Broker. Arrival has a similar sense of epic storytelling, but it's extremely short and doesn't really add any new gameplay. The story is worthwhile and had a lot of shocking twists, but don't expect it last very long.dantares83 wrote...

I personally liked Overlord because it was the longest DLC (Some would it's not quite as long as LotSB, but it depends on how you look at it) and it had extensive fun to play vehicle segments. The entire tone of Overlord was very different than the rest of Mass Effect 2, it was more atmospheric and can be almost kind of scary. (Somehow I get the feeling they were going for a 'Dead Space' feel) As always, story should come first, and even though Overlord's story isn't really relevant to Mass Effect 2 it's still very engaging and will make you want to see it to its conclusion.
It's already confirmed that Mass Effect 3's collector edition will come with a free character DLC. The title was leaked as "The Prothean", but that could change.Mr. Gogeta34 wrote...

LotSB fits in before or after suicide mission. I simply refer to to it before if I romanced Liara.
I wouldn't install Arrival until after the suicide mission.

As for Arrival, I wish I had never played it, that I'd never heard of it, and that I had no inkling of what it contained. It shows what direction BioWare is going with the story in ME3, and it isn't a good one. It's the worst pile of garbage writing I've ever seen from BioWare, and it makes it look it like ME3 could be the second worst. In a brief explanation why I dislike it: Arrival's plot violates their own universe's physics, makes an incredible mess out of the plots of the first two games, and writes themselves into a corner with no believable exit. I'll play ME3 because I enjoy the gameplay and characters a lot, but Arrival completely shattered any positive expectations I had for the overarching story.

Overlord - A relatively entertaining mission that functions primarily as a standalone with no impact toward the plot whatsoever. It illustrates a experimentation involving the Geth gone horrendously wrong leading to a corrupted AI attempting to download itself off world. You are tasked by the research team's only surviving member, Dr. Archer, to manually shutdown the AI but soon discover there is more to this story than what has been revealed.
It plays akin to a psychological horror tale, although nothing remotely close to the depth offered by the Silent Hill or F.E.A.R series but a fun little run. I recommend it myself.
Arrival - We are tasked to rescue Dr. Kenson, a friend of our old associate, Admiral Hackett, who makes a personal appearance. Upon landing we immediately discover her research team has unearthed a Reaper artifact and determined their arrival is far more imminent than anyone could have predicted.
Personally while I do not mind the story, it completely undermines the main plot of Mass Effect 2, which was already rubbish to begin with. What is particularly grating is how evident the rush job of this DLC is. Excluding inconsistencies in the narrative; and they are in abundance, the mechanics are an absolute disaster. The Vanguard on Insanity can be virtually unplayable at times simply due to how frequently Charge will fail for no adequately explained reason. You may even Charge an enemy for him to abruptly vanish to your side. Enemies clip through scenery, weapons have inconsistent damage output and ugh. Arrival is the definition of BioWare realizing they made a promise they could not keep (bridging DLC) and half-assed to an enormous degree. Get it for the story but I can honestly say you might be better youtubing for it.
Firepower Pack
(Mattock) - This is the beast of weapons, outpacing everything in the game by a considerable margin. In addition, it is the only gun immune to Adrenaline Rush's slow down effect, thereby firing at full velocity on a constant basis. You can breeze through Insanity with a yawn as a Soldier with this monstrosity of power.
(Geth Plasma Shotgun) - The unshotgun as it were, this variation turns the Shotgun into a partial range weapon capable of ripping protection to pieces. It comes with the added bonus of a charged secondary shot if you hold the trigger. This is at the expense of two clips but deals the most damage in the game, almost enough to one shot a Krogan on Insanity. Ironically, due to a momentary delay between shots, the GPS is least efficient with the Vanguard.
(Phalanx) - The only weapon not ridiculously overpowered. This is an upgrade to your current lineup of pistols but with a slower rate of fire to compensate for the improved damage. One benefit it does come equipped with is a nice laser to help guarantee accuracy.
Aegis Pack
(Kestrel Armor) - The ideal suit for a Vanguard, in fact, it is bloody well tailored to upgrade every aspect of the class. While the bonuses are overall minor, 35% to melee potency (45% if you keep swap out the shoulder pads) and 25% shield strength boost is a nice perk. The best part is the armor it entirely customization unlike everything else. So this is worth the price of admission.
(Incisor Sniper Rifle) - Virtually worthless in the hands of Shepard, as it lacks the dominance of the Widow or consist stopping power of the Viper. What makes this weapon shine however it due to a glitch in the programming, your squad mates have both perfect accuracy and no damage reduction restrictions when utilizing it. This makes the four snipes pure monsters. Zaeed is actually capable of damage comparable to Shepard using either the Incisor or Mattock.
The remaining DLC is appearance packs or garbage. If Miranda in catsuits bothers you than the second pack is a decent choice for the price, otherwise I would not bother.
